Chapter 23. Seeing Stars! 💫

Loona: A hellhound and a human...

Some minutes of dreaming and she was back to reality, which was a bit more dull because of one fact, one but rough as a wall: Hellhound and Human are completely different entities...

*Door creaks*

Sam left the bathroom and it was Loona's turn. She took her towel and went to the bathroom without looking at Sam.

Sam: *mumbling* What happened to her? She seems to be upset or something...

Sam had his own reasons to be a little melancholic at that moment, they were close to Loona's: he liked their time together. He was upset because knew she would have to go home one day and he would be alone, again...

Sam: Who wants to have any deal with a person, who made lots of mistakes, like me... But... This girl is something.... Huh... for real...
Sam! Don't build ANY dreams, you know the facts.

He sighed and went to his room, made the bed for the night and laid down. He was staring at the ceiling when Loona came into and wished him good night, he replied so. He wished he could say something else or have a conversation about something, he was ready to talk about anything just to have some more time... Loona left the room and went to her sofa.

Sam was sleeping bad that night, often waking up and couldn't put himself together. One of those wakes up was at about 3 am. The guy couldn't bear it anymore and stood from the bed. He walked around a little and decided to have a drink: a glass of water or something. He slowly opened his door and was on his way to the kitchen when something spotted his attention. He rubbed his eyes and finally understood: the sofa was empty. He looked around and saw the sliding door to the backyard was opened.

Sam: Where did she go?

He went to the door and left the house, he immediately saw the girl lying on the grass and looking up.

Sam: Loona, here you are

Loona: Sam? I thought you were sleeping

Sam: I wasn't, I guess you too, were you?

Loona: Huh, as you can see... Why don't you lie down too? It's comfortable in here

Sam: Sure, why not?

He took his place near the girl.

Loona: Look at the sky...

Sam: What... is... that... wooow!

Sam saw a really great picture: thousands of small white orbs were moving fast, like falling. It was the starfall and absolutely amazing one by the way. Loona looked at the sky with silent calmness. Sam did so. Magic of the star sky was floating around: in the air, in the grass, inside the two, who were lying on the ground...

Loona: Isn't it beautiful? I really like it... it reminds me of my best friend... who I met the first time during similar circumstances. Fun isn't it?

Sam: Yes, this starfall is something, I have never seen anything like that before. So peaceful...

Loona turned her head to Sam and whispered:

Loona: Look, the Moon showed... it's full today, looks amazing together with the starfall

Sam: Really...

Loona: By the way, my name can be translated as "The Moon" from Latin, sounds like "Luna" I was told

Sam: Huh, that's great, it really matches you...

Loona: I was told I liked the moon when was little... that's why... they... gave me such a name
