Three months later
Every civilian who were awoken from hypersleep has adjusted in living in a protected town of Scottsburg, including Cooper and the twins. They all received fresh clothes for them to wear, but there were a shortage on footwear, so 74% of them wear shoes or sandals. 28% of the population, including Cooper, walk barefoot. Their skin condition after being in hypersleep for eighteen years have slightly went away after three months ago, but strangely though, they've developed a natural resistance to the cold temperatures. Presumably, they were hooked up with tubes that contained chemicals that prevents infections and cryo burns, so it may have slightly altered their DNA.
For Cooper, he settled down with the woman named Christine that he had saw in Bunker 15. They eventually gotten married and purchased a house converted from a store, located down the streets. One day, they received an invitation to the trip to a distant planet.
For the twins, they've taken up jobs: Dawson became one of the troopers that protect the town while Kevin works as an employee of a grocery store.
For Joseph, he now works at the medical center since he used to work at a hospital back in the city. He also taught some pharmacists on how to make medicine from herbs, in which it became useful when someone became sick or wounded.
Authors note: this is the end of this book, look forward for more works.
