Words were created so the poets could write about your smile
and I've never been a poet, so writing this took me a while

I played around with prose, essays and letters
non fictional writing gave worth to cruel debtors

Undeserving of rhymes, the pieces of my puzzles
made my heart feel like one of my most worthless muscles

So when the walls came up, I had awoken once again
suddenly I'm the dream woman, too intimidating for some nightmare men

Writers with immortality on the tips of their pens
of us write full novels describing how we're two "Just friends"

But what are relationships if not two friends hopelessly in love
at least that's what I hope, that's what I asked for from above

People get confused, start to play with emotions
as if breaking hearts was a company and they're desperate for promotions

Well if heartbreak was a job here's my letter of resignation
because my way of loving isn't very cool in this generation

Because I think words were created to remind people that they feel like home
to write about your smile, to bring back people lost as they roam

And I would bring you back, the world needs people like you
and words must have been created so I could remind you that that's true
