"It wasn't Cyn," Uzi started weekly feeling J's look of disgust bore down into her, "Not really, not the Cyn we know at any ra-"
"OF COURSE YOU'D SAY THAT!" J roared in anger stepping forward one of her hands shifting into a claw and pointing it at Uzi, "SHE WAS YOUR SISTER! OF COURSE YOU'D JUMP TO HER DEFENCE!" Her optics flickering back and forth between regular optics and an X as J tried to control her anger, how could Uzi still defend that broken little glitch she'd turned them all on the Eliot family and their guests, "IF SHE HADN'T DONE ANYTHING TESSA WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN... HAVE BEEN...." J's voice wavered breaking at the end as she recalled the final memory of that terrible awful night, she didn't want to voice it to say what she had seen happen to Tesaa to dreg back up watching her best friend try to talk Cyn out of what she had chosen to do. Only for Cyn to ignore her, to force J and every other drone there to follow her sick twisted whims. But the part that hurt J the most was watching those awful claw-tipped arms made from bone flesh and metal slither from the walls and wrench Tessa away from screaming to who only knows where.
Uzi gently removed N's arms allowing her to slip out of his grip and make her way over to J who had sunken to her knees shaking with a mix of rage sorrow and regret., she placed a hand on J's shoulder trying to steady the twin-tailed drones emotional shaking. "Tessa was fine J," Uzi spoke as reassuringly as possible, watching as J's wide optics snapped up to stare at her, "After I-I-I," Uzi struggled trying to find the right way to say 'shot you in the face and killed you' but the right words were something she was struggling to find, but the look J was giving her let Uzi know she didn't have to voice it, "She was trapped in her room and I got her out of the Manor J," Uzi gave J a weak reassuring smile.
"But you didn't stay with her," J weakly retorted looking down again, "She'd have no one left after what happened."
"I didn't have a choice J," Uzi shot back, "I'd have stayed with her if I could have." Uzi clenched her free fist trying to control her anger, "I wanted to find her, and you and N and V and Cyn so we could all get out of whatever that-that-that nightmare was together but I didn't get the chance J!"
"You should have tried harder then!" J snapped back her eyes snapping up to glare at Uzi, her anger being falsely directed, "What kind of underqualified toaster are you that couldn't even do such a simple thing as stay with Tes-"
"I DIED!" Uzi screamed cutting J off, "I didn't get a chance to try and save anyone else or leave with her, if I had tried it'd have just put Tessa in more danger, so I had to make a choice J and I hope by Robo-Jesus I made the right one!" Uzi jabbed a finger at J shaking with anger, "And if you don't think I did then you can just bite me!" Not waiting for any response Uzi shoved herself past J and took off sprinting out of the pod and into the snowy wasteland.
The three disassembly drones were shocked at Uzi's revelation, too shocked to even move letting the smaller drone vanish from sight. V and N just looked at each other an unspoken conviction taking place, while J just sat there too stunned to move processing what Uzi had just said. Uzi had chosen to let herself die so Tessa could be safe, rather than risk putting Tessa in further danger and what had J gone and done? Accused her of not trying hard enough, and of being a failure.
"I'll go find her," V sighed moving past J, "N keep J here."
"Can do V," N gave V a haphazard salute, as he helped J up off the ground looking at her horrified face staring off into nothing, "Come on J," N gently shook her trying to snap J out of whatever funk she had found herself in, "Why'd you go off like that?"
"I," J began her voice weak as she moved to sit in one of the pods seats, "I don't know, how can she think it isn't Cyn's fault?" J crossed her legs angrily, "She was saying Cyn was just as much a victim as any of us, but that's the biggest load of corporate PR spinning I've ever heard."
