And like so many other 14 year old girls I was told that my problems were minor my tragedies imaginary and worst of all I was told that I hadn't lived enough to really want to die.
I laughed in their faces because they could never understand what was going inside my head.
I walk back home with sulken face ofcourse and wondered about all the things they had said.
It was just me and this feeling of how people could never ever understand me.
It was awful being the one who's understanding but not understood;
the one who's caring but not cared.
I apologised and went straight to my room.
I rushed to the bathroom to my blades and slit my upper arm with tally mark like cuts.
It was only when i saw sunrays sliding through my bathroom's window when I realised it was already morning.
I had been skipping meals like it was no big deal but the truth be told i was starving.
I got ready for school as soon as possible and ran towards the door and I realised my mom had been worrying sick for me since I hadn't eaten properly in like 5 days.
I still continued running despite my mother's tears rolling down her cheeks.
I straight up bumped into the last person I'd wanna see, Liam! my crush.
My books fell out of my hands and I bent down to pick them.
To my surprise, Liam was helping me in doing so and when he did our hands touched and oh God I felt sparks.
I apologized for bumping into him and thanked him for his help and ran back to school.
I luckily made it in time and noticed the teacher glaring at me because I totally forgot to brush my hair.
I felt my world sink right onto me but I kept my cool.
later I found Liam smiling at me, I smiled back.
He came upto me and said "a simple thank you wouldn't be enough"
'how about ice-cream?" I screamed.
and for the first time i saw him laughing and God he looked cute!
"yes ma'am" he uttered.
"pick you up at six then" I laughingly said.
he waved goodbye and I felt butterflies of all sorts in my stomach.
I couldn't take my mind off of him.
I saw mom crying at the dining table and found out that my shitty abusive father had taken out all the anger from work on her.
It broke my heart every single time.
I tried to distract myself by texting Liam and I realised how he made me feel so safe and forget all my worries.
he was perfect.
In every aspect.
I realised how much comfort i found in him.
How much I loved him.
He was my only escape from my problems.
He made me forget everything and I loved him for that.
I could be wanting to cry but one glance of him was enough.
