Cyn knew that'd get N's attention on doing something else, so Uzi could bond with the manor's other friendly female drone.

---LINE BREAK---

"Yes N I promise I won't drink for your paperweight," V snorted standing at the pod's entrance with her arms crossed, N had been so adamant she promised not to bite and guzzle the purple toaster's sweet rich intoxicating oil. V had to catch herself as she felt her mouth begin to drool at the memory of its taste, "Now get going before J decides to take it out on your pet toaster."

"Thanks, V," N smiled again, V had to look away it was always the same happy-go-lucky chipper thing, "I'll make sure we bring you back something," N spread his bladed wings only to stop before taking off to turn back to face V fiddling with his hands, "This is going to sound weird but could you um talk to her?"

V just gave him a blank stare, had he seriously just asked her to talk to what amounted to a doorstopper in toaster form? "You talk to it?" V could not believe N would talk to it, no that wasn't true she could very much believe he would talk to and probably consider the unresponsive purple dead weight a friend and considering he'd made friends with rocks she wasn't surprised. So him asking her to talk to it while he was out hunting with J, yer it was something he would ask her to do, "You cannot be serious?"

"Please V," N begged and gave her a look that resembled a kicked puppy, that wasn't fair. While she had tried to keep up the same distance aloofness from before the purple-haired worker had stumbled her way into the spire, she found it harder than before. Since guzzling down the toaster oil V had found hidden and buried memory files surfacing when she would enter recharge, all of them containing N in some way but not as a disassembly drone. Instead, they were filled with a worker drone version of not only N but herself as well.

"Alright!" V snapped folding her arms and looking away from his pitiful face, "I'll talk to it just stop the face and get going," It was awful thanks to the memory files filling her mind she had found it nearly possible to say no to that look of his.

"Thanks again V," N chirped happily as he turned and took off in the same direction J had left several minutes earlier.

Watching him vanish from sight V turned on her pointed feet stalking back into the pod and sat down on one of the swivel chairs next to the purple hair worker drone propped up next to it, she bent down staring at the still swirling reboot logo, "Still trying to reboot huh purple?" V tapped a finger against the worker drone's visor tilting it back to get a better look at the barely visible progress bar, "Ooooh up to forty-two per cent and it has only taken you a week and a half," V cooed patronisingly patting the drone's hair.

Being this close to the drone again V took the time to tilt her head back down getting a good look at it, as she studied the drone she noticed it wasn't like other worker drones. The head shape and style were familiar, but she couldn't place where from. It would not surprise her if she had killed some of this worker's 'family' at some point that could possibly be it, but then there was the hair colour really stood out. She'd never seen purple hair before on any worker drone on Copper-9, the closest she had seen was in a corrupted memory file, a brief flash of a lilac-haired drone was all she could put together.

"I don't see why N is so adamant about keeping you around," V snorted, J had given the drone five days to come out of reboot before she wanted it just killed. N however strongly disagreed with that going even so far as for the first time, she had ever seen him, truly get ad and stand up to J. V smirked at that memory file at watching J actually back down from N's simmering anger at killing the rebooting worker, he clearly knew something about this worker he wasn't sharing and with him now out V might be able to figure it out. "What does that overly chipper idiot see in you huh?" V asked as she nudged the worker's head again with a claw this time, "It can't be your engaging conversational skills can it?"

Chuckling at her own joke V nearly missed the sound of the little worker drone's vocal box sparking to life as its head lulled to the side, in her direction. It looked almost like an intentional movement and that shocked V, a drone in reboot should be able to move itself and she knew she didn't touch it enough to get it to move.

Crouching down V got close to the drone's visor and watched its optics flicker rapidly going from reboot to lilac optics to yellow then purple before back to lilac then the reboot symbol, that was weird but probably an optics and visor glitch. Or so V thought until she heard barely audible static words coming from the drone. "....re....ur....sses....V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V...." It kept repeating her name for several minutes before its head lulled forward going silent.

When the worker had begun rapidly repeating her name V had fallen backwards in shock, how had it known her name? As her processor tried to come up with a reason as to how or why it knew, a single long-buried cluster of memory files slammed into her thought processes with the same force their pod had hit the surface with. V remembered a manor house where she had worked as a domestic drone, but that wasn't what truly stuck out here in these memory files. What stuck out in each one was a stuttering drone, a drone with soft lilac-tinted hair and optics that looked so familiar to the purple worker lying unresponsive on the floor.

As the second ticked by V found herself unable to rise just staring optics wide at the worker drone, the appearance was too uncanny to be a coincidence, the two looked identical right down to how their hair parted. She tried to separate the two as she didn't want to remember her past in the manor, a time were she was truly happy and how it had been stolen from her. No not just from her, but from N, from J from their old mistress. Tessa.

Just remembering her caused V to have an audible gasp in shock, she had forgotten the sweet young human girl who had repaired her as best she could and found glasses to help with her faulty optics and she had forgotten her. V felt horrible at that realisation yet it paled in comparison to the lilac-haired drone that slammed out from the memories, a drone who had at first been terrified of her for some reason but had quickly warmed up to be her best friend at the manor.

V sat there on the cold metal floor of the pod just staring at the purple toaster, no that wasn't a toaster she looked exactly like the lilac drone in the memory files. Gently V stood up and made her way over to the purple worker drone and sat down next to her, she gently pulled the worker drone close the memory files still swirling around her processor it now made sense why N had started talking to the worker. The dopey, overly positive idiot deep down probably remembered her and now V did too.

"Yer," Her voice was soft as she brushed the worker drone's hair aside so she could still see the reboot symbol, her own optics hazy from simulated tears, "Yer its V, long time no see huh Uzi?"
