38.

Giving up on my weak trials of stopping myself from calling Yn I picked up my phone and immediately dialed her number, I frowned as the phone rang for almost a minute and then went straight to the voicemail. I sighed and decided to call her again but before I could my phone rang, I looked over the caller ID it was Sunmi, and my heart stopped beating for a second, we usually talk almost every day over text but on call that happens rarely. 

I picked up the call and spoke,

"Hello?"

"Hello Tae"

She replied nervously, I was too, after figuring out my feelings for Yn I don't know what Sunmi and I have, it was all blurred for me yet.

"How are you doing?"

"I'm doing fine Sunmi"

I replied a little straightforwardly but regretted it immediately as I realized she must be feeling sad because of my behavior. I need to talk to her in person and figure out everything as soon as possible.

"What about you?"

"Just fine"

She replied dryly making me frown, interrogate,

"Is something wrong?"

"I miss you"

She replied making me stunned for a moment. We were inseparable when we were together, we used to spend our time together whenever it was possible and now it's been a month since us seeing each other and I know it must be hard for her as she was practically addicted to me. I cleared my throat and replied,

"I-I miss you too"

I heard someone calling her from the background, she hurriedly spoke,

"Okay I gotta go, I need to work"

"Okay"

"Love you"

She said and declined the call. I sighed heavily while messaging my temples feeling too stressed about the situation I was in, but again I kinda deserved it. I looked back at my phone and decided to check on Yn and know about her whereabouts, I tapped her name and the phone rang, after the sixth ring finally someone picked up the call,

"Hello"

I frowned as I realized it was Yeonjun my blood boiled, I clenched my jaw and asked,

"Where is Yn?"

"She is sleeping"

He answered sassily, I rolled my eyes and spoke,

"Send me the location, I'll stop by to pick up the kids and Yn"

"I'll do that Mr.Kim, you don't have to"

I frowned at his words, I seriously don't like the way he cares about Yn not that I'm complaining but he acts a little too much as he should. I scoffed internally and spoke,

"I have to Mr.Kang as they are my kids and wife"

I emphasized the word wife to rub the reality on his face.

"Who is it?"

I heard Yn speaking closely from the background, he replied,

"Mr.Kim"

"Hello"

I smiled finally hearing Yn's voice, I replied,

"Hello Strawberry"

"Send me your address I'm coming to pick you up"

"But-"

I declined the call before she could even oppose coming back home. I called Sara and handed her the files I was completed with and told her that I was leaving, she just nodded while hurriedly after collecting my things I practically ran towards the parking lot. I sat on the driver's seat and opened my phone and found a text from Yn, she finally sent her location, I put that location on the navigation and started driving towards the unknown destination.

It took me almost an hour to drive here, I turned off the car's engine and verified the location once again. I sighed heavily as I realized it was the first time I was going to meet Mr.Kang as Yn's husband and I'm sure he knew everything about our messed up relationship. With sweaty palms and nervousness, I got out of the car and walked towards the front door, after taking a deep breath more like calming myself down, I rang the bell.

I heard footsteps approaching and soon the door opened revealing Yeonjun holding Yuri in his embrace, he rolled his eyes as he saw me and announced,

"Mr.Kim is here"

he opened the door wider letting me come inside and Yuri exclaimed,

"Dad"

I smiled looking at her, she extended her arms towards me and I took her from Yeonjun's arms, she immediately wrapped her arms around my neck and legs around my torso, I giggled and asked,

"Did my baby miss me?"

She nodded and snuggled into the crook of my neck probably feeling tired, while holding her carefully I changed my footwear and followed Yeonjun inside the living room. As I entered I saw everyone's eyes on me, Yn was sitting beside Mr.Kang while a woman similar to Mr.Kang's age was sitting at the end of the couch holding Eun-woo in her embrace, Yn immediately stood up and came to my side.

I bowed to everyone and Yn cleared her throat she looked at Mr.Kang and spoke,

"Dad he is Taehyung, Taehyung ,Dad"

I bowed to him once again while just nodded with a small smile on his face, she turned towards the woman and spoke,

"Finn. Taehyung, Taehyung Finn., Dad's wife"

I bowed to her while she bowed back with a huge smile on her face then she spoke,

"Yeonjung"

"I know him"

I cut her in between, almost glaring at him as he was doing the same. Yn tugged on my sleeves making me look at her, she looked at me and whispered to me,

"Stop giving him those looks"
