Chapter 72 : (Before) Date with Chris

Well I don't really get it but I'm the type that can't get sun-kissed skin. If I'm out in the sun for too long, my skin would turn red and ache all over instead. If I couldn't get sunburned here, that would be great.

I took the wash bin that I had placed near the door with me. Putting all of the laundry from the basket into it, I began to wash all the dirty laundry earnestly using magic. From washing, to drying, everything could be done using support magic here. I hang the dried laundry on a clothesline one by one.

"Today's weather is really good so the clothes are going to be all dry and nice in no time..."

I muttered to myself as I stared at the laundry fluttering against the wind. After making sure nothing was amiss, I brought the basket back to the house with me.

"Having onigiri for lunch seems like a good idea I guess?"

I put the laundry basket back into the changing room and went to the kitchen to quickly prepare several types of onigiri. After stuffing the onigiri into the lunch box, I used magic to chill it.

"【Cool】With this, we're finished with the lunch box."

I put the lunch box into the fridge and left a note for Malik-san on the table. I hoped with this note Malik-san would've realized I already had his lunch box ready in the fridge.

I went back to my room to get my magic bag and with this, I'm ready to go!

"I think I'm going to be a little early... Ah well, better be early than late."

The clock in the living room said it was still 09.30. I would've been twenty minutes early to my appointment with Chris-san but there was not enough time for me to dawdle around drinking tea. In the end I decided to go straight to my meeting place with Chris-san.

"I'm going."

Malik-san was still asleep so I knew there wouldn't be anyone to reply to me but I still said it anyway everytime I'm leaving the house. The road to the plaza was only straight ahead so I didn't get to stop by anywhere.

"Ah, Chris-san is already there..."

There was still plenty of time before our meeting time but Chris-san was already standing there, leaning his back against the bell tower. Around him, there were several young ladies trying their best to get his attention too...

Today Chris-san was wearing a white tank top layered with a half-length navy mesh top along with a white cropped pants that stopped at his ankle. He was wearing shoes that resembled a sneaker. The usual black leg pouch could be seen on his leg, the contrast between the pouch and the white pants gave a nice accent to Chris-san's whole look. How do I say it... Chris-san looked refreshing but erotic at the same time. He could easily pass as a top model if we were on earth.

"Haah... This is bad... I want to call out to Chris-san but don't think I can push those young ladies away..."

You could say those young ladies were trying their hardest to pick Chris-san up...

I stopped a little further from them, not knowing how I should approach Chris-san.

"Hey, hey~ I don't mind even if you're meeting someone else here so why don't you come with us?~"

"Yes, yes! I know a place that serves good tea. Why don't we all go there?"

"I will pay everything for you if you'd like!"

"Haah.. Listen here? Can you please stop touching me?~ I already told you I'm going to meet with my absolutely adorable fiancée, didn't I?~ His beauty and cuteness cannot be compared with you lots so there's no way I will go with you, won't I?"

The young ladies tried to make Chris-san come with them by pulling on his arms but Chris-san shook them all off indifferently. More importantly... If Chris-san kept on describing me as someone so beautiful and cute like that, those young ladies must be expecting someone incredulously gorgeous! I wouldn't be able to gather the guts to call out to him even more!

"Uugh.. What should I do..."

"Ah! Ren-chan!~"

"U- Yes! ... Have I kept you waiting?"

I must've caught his attention because I was just standing still. While talking with the young ladies, Chris-san had a cold, expressionless face but as soon as he saw me, that expression was immediately replaced with a gentle and warm smile. Since Chris-san had already noticed and called out for me, I braved myself and walked toward him. The young ladies were openly staring at me but I tried my best to pay no heed to them.

"Nope~ There's still a lot of time left. I just got so excited so I came here as soon as I was ready. Okay then, let's go~"

"Wa-Wait a minute?!"

"What is it?~ I don't like obstinate girls, you know?~ Well, bye then~"

With a smile, Chris-san brought our hands together, interlocking our fingers just like the typical lovers would do I guess? With our fingers intertwined, Chris-san led me away from the swarm of girls. All of the young ladies were staring at us, dumbfounded. But one of them quickly sobered out of her stupor and called out for Chris-san but of course, Chris-san mercilessly cut her off and walked away without glancing back.

"Arya, there's no hope for you. He's a little bit on the small side but he's certainly very cute and beautiful."

"You're right. The moment he noticed that small boy, his expression suddenly shifted. Do you think that boy is the rumoured otherworlder? Since he has a black hair and all."

"Haah... I really like his look so much! But.. I don't think I can stand a chance against that boy..."

As we disappeared into the crowd, I couldn't see any of the young ladies anymore, let alone hear what they were talking about. I'm sure they must be thinking something along the lines like "With a kid like him?!"

I feel a little depressed when I think about it...
