Chapter 72 : (Before) Date with Chris

"I see..."

In other words, it was a drinking party to celebrate my engagement? That was why Malik-san ended up drinking until he was drunk since he was my stepfather after all.

"Well, everyone just wanted to drink no matter what the reason was so Ren-san, you don't have to worry about it too much, okay?"

"Haaah..."

"Fuah... Thank you for the drink! It's already late so I will excuse myself first!"

Tord-san then left with a forced smile on his face.

The next day after, Malik-san woke up with a terrible hangover so I casted recovery magic to heal him. Malik-san was so impressed that he requested for me to keep on taking care of him whenever he had a hangover from thereon after. His face was so serious too so I knew he wasn't trying to tease me.

Does that mean other people can't cure hangovers like I do?

I guess healing physical wounds was common but that was not the case with fatigue or headache. I felt that my talent in support skill was really a cheat in that sense....

"Fuuah... I will meet with Chris-san at 10.00 near the bell tower in the plaza... I slept a little bit too long... Okay, time to get ready..."

I yawned and got up from the bed to change my clothes. Glancing at the clock, I saw it was a little bit over 08.00. The distance between Malik-san's house and my meeting place with Chris-san was only ten minutes away by foot so I still have plenty of time left.

Opening the window, I was instantly greeted with the sight of the bright blue sky. Today's weather was really great! Looking at the sky made me want to do our laundry though I better be quick about it so I wouldn't be late to meet with Chris-san.

In the end, yesterday I had spent the whole day meal prepping for our escort quest later. This time, I already knew I'd be needing food for four people so I made sure to prepare the meal in big batches.

The three of them were pretty big so of course they had a big appetite as well...With the way things were going, I'd be spending the free days I had between Chris-san's date and Fer-san's date meal prepping for our escort quest...

I went through my clothes, trying to choose which one I should wear today.

"No matter what kind of clothes I wear, I look so plan standing next to them..."

It wouldn't matter much no matter which clothes I choose so I ended up choosing something that felt comfortable and safe. The three of them were so good looking that no matter what clothes they wore, they'd look so well put together in the end... I'm so jealous....

"Ah! I can't dawdle here! I need to eat breakfast first!"

Leaving my room, I went to the kitchen to take the sandwich I had made the night before from the fridge. Sitting on the dining table, I began to eat my sandwich all by myself. Malik-san had a noon shift today so he was still sleeping. I should prepare a lunch box for Malik-san too...

"Now then, thank you for the food... 【Clean】"

Cleaning up the plate was over in no time with magic. I went to the changing room and took the laundry basket with me to the garden.

"Here we go..."

As soon as I stepped a foot into the garden, I could feel the heat of the sun rays shining onto my skin. Which reminded me, I've been walking out in the sun a lot but I didn't have any sunburn yet. Maybe the sun in here, although it looked like the sun on earth, didn't have the same UV rays?
