The first day of the new school year hung in the air, heavy with anticipation. The secluded boarding school in the heart of the Scottish Highlands was a place shrouded in mystery, where whispers of secrets danced on the wind like leaves in autumn.

Nikita's heart raced as she walked through the ancient stone archway that marked the entrance of St. Lochwood Boarding School. Her fingers tightening around the strap of her pink backpack, her one colorful defiance against the austere backdrop of ancient stone and misty moorlands.

The rich tapestry of history enveloped her, from the moss-covered cobblestones to the ivy-clad walls that whispered tales of generations past.

Beside her, a boy her age stood with an air of quiet confidence, his jet-black hair ruffled by the breeze seemed to defy gravity. Haruki's dark eyes scanned the surroundings, taking in every detail. The journey from Japan had been long, but it had led him here, to a place that held the promise of new beginnings.

They were an odd pair but fate had a way of weaving together the most unlikely companions.

As they entered the grand hall, students milled about, a tapestry of diverse backgrounds and hidden dreams. The faculty stood in a somber line, watching like silent sentinels. Nikita couldn't help but feel the weight of their gaze, as if they held the answers to the enigma that was St. Lochwood.

Whispers in the hallways hinted at a dark underbelly, a chilling history that went back centuries. The older students knew better than to tread lightly on the subject, for the unspoken rule was clear: never ask, never dig too deep. Those who did often found themselves on the outskirts, the shadows of the school's society.

For now, the new students stood on the precipice of a new year, unaware that their paths would intertwine with the secrets of St. Lochwood's, and that together, they would embark on a journey that would change the course of their lives.

This is the first time I'm trying this writing style and I'm a bit nervous. I don't know if it's any good so let me hear your thoughts in the comments. I never imagined myself writing in the third point of view but oh well. How did you get to know about this book? Let me hear your thoughts about this chapter in the comments.

IMPORTANT
Hey so this entire chapter isn't supposed to be added to the book but I really wanted to add it but I didn't know where to add it so here it is. I don't know maybe I should remove it?
