Karina's pov

"I'm so sorry but your goddess is not so good as you think she is" Sarah said and I still couldn't believe it, all those years I believed she was good and peaceful, humble

I sat down on the stairs, and Sarah sat beside me

"I will show tomorrow what happened, okay? But first let's get some sleep and shelter" she said as she looked up the sky, it was getting dark and windy

We got up and I put the crown back on the altar and we walked back to the cave where Visenya was

When we arrived at the cave and Sarah was making fire while I was feeding Visenya, her stomach got bigger

My hand slowly caressed her stomach, and I put my ear against her stomach. Her breathing and heartbeat were normal rhytm

"How is she?" Sarah asked

"She is fine, her breathing and heartbeat is steady" I said and I sat down beside her

Visenya laid down behind, and Sarah laid her upper body down her stomach

"Good," she yawned and she slowly closed her eyes

"Night Rina" she said

"Sweet dreams, Sarah " I whispere,  and I looked at the campfire

A feww minutes later

"Where am I?" I thought when I woke up in a strange place, this was not the cave

This was Sarah's home, but what am I doing here? I got up, and I looked a bit around

I got startled when I heard a loud scream and I knew it was from Sarah

"Sarah!" I thought and I tried to open the door but it was locked

"Goddess name" I thought and I rammed against the door few times and the last time it worked but I fell on the ground

My eyes widened when I saw a lot of blood on the ground and I looked at my hands. They were covered in blood
I got up and I followed the blood path and by the stairs I saw a body laying on the ground

I slowly walked to it, and it was Scott's body. He was stabbed and under the scratch marks

"Let me go!" I heard Sarah's voice from downstairs, so I walked downstairs to the living room

My eyes widened when I arrived at the living room, I saw a man standing holding a gun, and he aimed to Sarah

She was covered under blood and bruises

"Please don't do this, look what you have done!" She said as she pointed to another body and I couldn't believe my eyes

It was Hunter's body, he was shot in the head

"I'm begging you-" Sarah was cut off with a loud gunshot

"SARAH!" I screamed as I saw she got on her knees and she fell on the ground, the men shot Sarah

The man turned around and he aimed gun to me

"Hello Karina" the man said and I recognised his voice

No, no it can't be...

I slowly walked back until I lost my balance and I fell

Then suddenly I hit the ground and I groaned and I tried to not curse
I slowly got up and I looked at bit around

"Where am I now again?" I thought

"How could you?"

"What was that?" I thought as I looked a bit shocked around

"We thought you would lead to victory"

No, no this can't be true, please

"We all died for nothing"

"It's all your fault"

"You should get the blame for this"

"No, it's not my fault please, I tried everything!"

"No you are going to pay for our fallen sisters"

I suddenly heard noises of horses coming from afar and I couldn't believe my eyes I saw the maidens of Yue going to my direction

Without thinking, I started to run but they are too fast for me but I tried until I fell again and I fell, I fell, I fell

"Where am I now?" I thought as I woke up and my eyes widened

No... pleass this can't be true, this is a dream

I saw my tribe being killed on the ground, in their true forms

I slowly walked through their dead bodies, who did this who killed the males, the females, the elders and even the babies, the poor babies were probably killed in front of their mothers

From afar I heard some grunts and groans so I walked to it and when I came closer to direction of the noises

My eyes widened when I saw my sisters lifeless body on the ground. When I got closer I saw a hole through her stomach like she was impaled or something sharp went through her stomach

"Let me go!"

"Brother?" I thought and I looked around

"Brother? Where are you!" I shouted and I looked around

"Brother, please answer!" I shouted again and I heard some grunts and groans from afar so I ran to direction

Then I saw him standing with big belly, he is carrying a child? But how?

I slowly walked to him and I could see on his face that something was happening to him but I don't know what so I ran to him when blood came out of his mouth and he fell on his knees

I quickly caught him and he, he, he died in my arms

He lost too much blood

"Who did this?" I thought and I suddenly heard somebody laughing and I looked around as I saw him standing again, Minho

"You? Again!" I said and I saw him walking to me and he was holding staff with sharp end that was covered under blood that was probably the weapon how he killed them

"I only have to kill you and then the mermaids are gone" he said with smile and he raised the staff and I closed my eyes

I opened my eyes as I woke up and I sat upright.. is this a dream?

I looked around and I realised it luckily not a dream again and I looked beside me and I saw Sarah peacefully sleeping

I sighed as I got up and I walked out of the cave
