Archon: *Unfazed* Uh....

Lily: OUCH! HOW THE HELL IS YOUR BACK THAT HARD!? I FELT LIKE MY ARM WAS ABOUT TO COME CLEAN OFF!

Archon: I'm just, really well built I suppose.

Lily: WELL BUILT!? YOUR A DIFFERENT BREED ENTIRELY! YOUR LITERALLY BUILT DIFFERENT!

Archon: Okay, okay, your right. I am. Can you stop yelling now?

Lily: *Scratches her head* Yeah sure. But I'm gonna need an ice pack now. My hand is literally bruising from how hard I hit you.

Archon: Ow, that's gotta hurt.

Lily: It does. So back to the bar we go.

Archon: Wait what- Back to the bar? I thought we were-

Lily: We can do that after. I'm sorry, just bear with me for a little bit longer.

Archon: Ugh, fine. I can help with that.

Lily: *Laughs* Really? How are ya gonna do that? *Sarcastically* Heal my hand with magic-

Archon: *Healing her hand with magic*

Lily: ... I'm sorry, WHAT THE FU-

Archon: Shhhhh... Be quiet. I'm trying to focus here.

Lily: Okay but once we're done you have a hell of a lotta explaining to do. Like, A LOT.

Archon: Only with what I'm comfortable of sharing.

Lily: Eh, alright. Fair enough. I can't force ya. You'd probably turn me into an omelet if I did too.

Archon: I feel like I could do that.

Lily: A- That doesn't sound to reassuring...

Archon: Trust me, it isn't when you first hear it. I'm just being cautious. But this secret stays between us alright?

Lily: Uh, yeah sure.

Archon: I have, well, superpowers.

Lily: Yeah duh! I can see that much!

Archon: All I'm willing to elaborate.

Lily: W-wha-!? Hey! You can't just do that!

Archon: *Trying to change the subject* Why do you still have your hand raised?

Lily: Huh? Whaddya mean by that-

Archon: I already finished healing your hand like 40 seconds ago.

Lily: A- You could have just told me! But thanks. *Chuckles and puts her hand on her hips* So, you wanna head to your place now?

Archon: Yeah, I'd like that.

Lily: Fine by me, although I wanna know that for the rest of your stay in this town you'll be going to do your damn best to pay me a visit every now and then.

Archon: You can bet your damn eye on that.

Lily: Rather not. I'd rather get it removed to pay off my debt.

Archon: Smart.

Lily: Follow me then. *Walks off*

Archon: Coming. *Follows her*

*On a hall a decent distance away from the city, the two find a motel like building right Infront of them*

Archon: Ah so this is the place you were talking about.

Lily: Mhm, it's a bit small and it's pretty far away, but for the price and a roof above your head, I think it'll do the trick.

Archon: Yeah. This will do.

Lily: *Knocks on the door labeled "Office"* Hello? Anyone home? Hello????

*After a few seconds, a lady with short brown hair, green eyes wearing glasses and a dress walk out of the door*

???: Hello? Who might you be? Are you guests coming over?

Lily: Ah no, I'm the one that emailed you last night about renting a place.

Jessica: Oh? How wonderful. You want to see it now? Well, it'll be my pleasure. I almost forgot. My name is Jessica. It's good to see you Mr and Ms...?

Lily: Ah, the names Lily.

Archon: I am Archon Sovereign.

Jessica: Archon... Sovereign... Such a unique name for such a unique individual. It's nice to see you.

Archon: The same can be said.

Jessica: So is it you two who want to rent the room?

Lily: Ah actually no. I rented the room here for my friend here, Mr. Archon over here. He left his credit card back at home so we needed to find a place for cheap.

Jessica: Well you came to the right place. Do you want a standard room or a special room?

Archon: We'll take the standard room. No need for anything fancy

Jessica: Well alright. I have one vacant right now.

Lily: Woohoo! Just our luck! We got one!

Jessica: Do you want to see the room now?

Lily: Uh, yes please! Let's see it!

Jessica: Well alright then. Follow me. *Walks around the corner and walks up the stairs*

Archon: Alright. *Follows her up*

Lily: Let's see what were working with here. *Follows both of them up*

*The two of them follow Jessica up the stairs and she shows Archon his flat*

Jessica: It's not much but-

Archon: I'll gladly take this over sleeping in the streets.

Jessica: That's a given.

Archon: How much is the rate? *Takes out his wallet* I still have some-

Jessica: Oh, no, no, no. There's no need for that.

Archon: What? What do you mean?

Jessica: Well, you see, Lily here actually paid for it already.

Archon: Huh? *Turns towards Lily* You did what?

Lily: Hehe~ take it as a token of appreciation.

Archon: For what?

Lily: Cleaning my bar, drinking with me, listening to my problems and being an overall chill dude.

Archon: That's... not that hard to do-

Lily: Oh shucks. Not everyone is genuine ya know. But I know you are. So that just makes me wanna thank ya even more.

Archon: So are you like, expecting anything in return for this?

Lily: Hm... nah. Although I'd gladly appreciate you going to my bar every now and then and helping me manage the place. Maybe even just to hang out that's fine.

Archon: I can take you up on that.

Lily: Welp, enjoy ya stay her. Hope you don't leave too early. Gotta go close up the bar and get to bed cuz I've got a lotta customers bright and early tomorrow.

Archon: I'll see you then.

Lily: Mhm! See ya then! *Whistles and walks out of the flat*

Jessica: You two seem to have a nice friendship. *Chuckles and hands Archon his key* Best not lose that.

Archon: I won't. I promise.

Jessica: Good to know. Please enjoy your stay. And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. *Gives a small bow and a wave before leaving*

Archon: Hm, *closes the door* Now what to do? I guess just, lay down. *Lays down on the bed and sighs* Yeah, can't think of much. *Sighs and scratches his head before turning and trying to go to sleep*

*As Archon tries to sleep, a low, quiet creaking sound can be heard from outside his room as a tentacle slips inside the window*
