Y/Ns P.O.V

Tears slipped down my face as I stood in front of a door I frequently visited, which opened to reveal the welcoming home I was commonly a guest of.

"Oh Y/nn..." She brought her arm out to my shoulder and guided me into the house.

Hanako brought me through to the dinning room with her and guided me to sit down as she rounded the table to sit opposite me "What have they done now?"

She moved the tissue box that sat centre on the table to be in front of me. Taking a tissue I wiped at my face "There's a clothing allowance with getting into the hero course and forms are having to be submitted soon so as you'd assume, me and Deku have been working on what we want for our hero costumes. I was in my room when mum came home and after a while she called for me, saying she had something for me... She had prepared costumes for both me and Deku..."

I clenched my fist around the tissue in my hand and Hanako looked at me, worried.

"It wasn't what you wanted, was it?" I shook my head and a sob escaped my mouth "It was just a more feminine version of the hero costume Deku had designed." Hanako rushed up and came to my side, hugging me.

"Shush, it's okay, you won't have to submit that and wear it! Your hero costume should be exactly that, it should be yours! So, what do you want for your hero costume?" I turned my head to look at her "But what does it matter? I'll always look like him... I'll always be second to him."

"Not to the right people!" She wiped my cheeks whilst smiling at me and I just leaned my head against her "And how many people will that be? He took down a zero pointer by himself! What have I done that compares to that?" She began brushing her fingers through my hair "I haven't a clue what a zero pointer is, so that's how much that means!"

After a while she continued "I understand you're hurt right now, even if they aren't worth your tears, but why do other people's opinions matter? Nobody is ever liked by everybody and as long as you're happy with yourself, what does it matter? People probably look at me and think I've failed in life but I don't give a shit! I've got a loving family and some great friends, they're all I need! Not some asshole that's going to try put me down so they can feel better about their own life!"

"But I don't even have a loving family..." She patted my head and I moved it away from her body, she crouched and took both my hands "Family isn't always blood, it can sometimes be people you meet! Like me and Rai, we weren't always family... Would be illegal if we were but that aside. Family. Love, even, can be found!" I smiled at her comment about her and Rai, she smiled "That's better!"

I laughed and wiped under my eyes "What would I do without you?" She stood and shrugged "Oh, I don't know! Not dye your hair, wear makeup from time to time- I usually don't condone changing your appearance because of others, but in a sense it's rebelling!" I laughed and she joined "How does that sound?" I looked to her and smiled, then nodding.

Rai entered with the kids as me and Hanako set the table for the food we'd prepared together after dying my hair h/c*. Axel, Lutz, and Loop immediately rushed over to me, practically chanting "Y/N!" but they all stopped and just looked up at me as if I had grown a second head.

Lutz cleared her throat and asked "Y/n, why are you wearing a plastic bag on your head?" Loop then looked at me with a panicked look "Y/n, can you breath?" Hanako came around and picked both commenters up "It's just on her hair so she is perfectly fine!" Axel then practically screamed.

"Y/n has lice?" Hanako was quick to respond "No! Y/n hasn't got lice, she's just trying a new hair colour!" The three nodded.

Loop then asking "Why?"

To cover for Hanako without lying to the young girls I asked "As I've gotten into the hero course I need to design a hero costume. Would any of you girls be interested in helping me?" They were all quick to practically scream and shout ideas at me in excitement

Standing and staring at the article of clothing in my hands was all I could do. It wasn't the costume the triplets had helped me design, it was a more feminine version of the costume Deku had designed.

I felt someone put their arm over my shoulders "It's hard to believe, right? Our dream costumes are right here in our hands! So cool-" She went silent as the grip I had on the article of clothing caused a tear sound to fill the changing room.

The girl that I had seen had pink skin removed her arm from my shoulders and someone else within the room spoke up "Do you want me to fix that for you?"

I decided to pull the fabric apart further "No."

Someone placed their hand on my arm and ask "Woah, is everything okay?" I just yanked the fabric with my other hand and it ripped it in half "Just fine."

The girl that had her hand on my arm stepped away as others in the room gasped, I just dumped the torn costume on the bench that sat in front of me and hunted through my bag to get my PE kit. Changing into it before leaving, picking my costume up so I could dump it in the bin outside the changing rooms.
