Y/Ns P.O.V
Letters arrived for me and Izuku today, however upon seeing the U.A. crest he ran to his room with it. I just opened mine then and there.
“I am here as a projection! The truth is, I didn't just come here to fight villains but in fact to become a teacher, so as U.A. High Schools newest faculty I am happy to announce you, young Midoriya, passed the written tests with flying colours! However, your combat points weren't as high. Do not be disheartened though, for being a hero does not just rely on your ability to fight but your ability to look out for your fellow man, no matter the consequence to oneself, so I am happy to say with your top of the board rescue points. Welcome, Y/n!”
I smiled, I was so happy tears began to well up in my eyes “I got in! I'll get to go to U.A.!” However, every ounce of happiness dropped when my mum spoke up “Not if Izuku doesn't get in.” I quickly turned to look at her.
“Can't I have anything without being considered inconsiderate towards Izuku?”
“I shouldn't have to explain what is inconsiderate to you, he's your brother and as the one with a quirk you should be there to protect him!” I let out a bitter laugh, rubbing my eyes for I did not want her to be the reason for me crying yet again.
“So that's all I'm good for, being a human shield to your precious baby boy! If you really cared so little about me why didn't you give me away because anywhere would be better than being here with you!”
“Don't take that tone with me, go to your room!” I began walking to my room and once I closed the door tears rolled down my face. I roughly wiped them away and placed the metal disc on my desk before going over to my wardrobe, getting my clothes out for work and then changing.
I stepped out of my room ready for work, aside from the apron that stays in the staff room. “I didn't send you to your room so you could just go out, get back in there!” I just made my way to the front door “I'm going to work.”
“Don't be ridiculous, your shift doesn't start for hours and anyway, what about dinner?” I rolled my eyes and just spoke loud enough for her to hear as I left “I'd rather be at work than here, and dinner? Give it to Izuku, I'm already lucky enough to have a quirk to make me strong, because that also prevents me from starvation and general deficiencies!”
I walked into work and headed straight for the staff room, Hanako following me in not long after “Y/n, what are you doing here, your shift doesn't start for another couple hours?” Looking up from my phone as I was just sat playing on it, I spoke “I got accepted into U.A.” She cheered and came over, enveloping me in a tight hug “That's amazing! So, why are you at this dump and not out celebrating?” I let out a breath and she took a step back.
“My mum said I won't be going if Izuku doesn't get in.”
“That fucking bitch! So you're not allowed to chase after your dreams because your brother doesn't have a quirk! What a load of shit Y/n, him not having a quirk isn't anything that can be controlled. Doesn't she realise he's got to live with that fact no matter what, so there's no point in ruining everyone else's lives! Gosh, does she consider any hero inconsiderate for using their quirk?” I laughed slightly and she smiled “That's what I like to see! You will be going right, no matter what that cow says?” I smiled and nodded.

I was stood behind the till eating from the take away container Hanako had bought to celebrate with whilst I was on my shift “Who's watching Axel, Lutz, and Loop?” Hanako swallowed her moutful “Rai, I asked if he could so I could show my favourite teenager how proud I am of her. If you hadn't of been on shift right now I would have invited you over, the girls love you after all!” I smiled.
“Thanks, although you really didn't need to. You work at this dump so you can spend more time with them! Staying for a celebration seems to contradict that!” She laughed and nodded.
“Just a bit, but it's fine! Only for tonight! Although, I was definitely in need of this, I love those girls wholeheartedly, but they are trouble!” I smiled, then turning at someone clearing their throat.
I quickly put my food down “Have you found everything you were looking for?” He nodded and I reached for one of his jelly pouches, then tapping on the computer to type in how many he'd purchased. “The boss given you an extra set of hands?” I shook my head.
“Nope, she's avoiding the kids under the excuse of celebration!” Hanako then yelled “Hey!” She then continued “Not an excuse, we are seriously celebrating. What's the pass rate for U.A. and you got in?” I rolled my eyes.
“Are you really that bothered about him thinking you want a break from your kids?” Eraserhead then spoke up “You got your acceptance letter today, congratulations.” Both me and Hanako looked at him and he continued “I've known for a while that you got in. I teach at U.A.” Hanako then asked.
“Do you know if her brother got accepted?” Eraserhead looked at her and I quickly covered for her knowing it's probably not information he should be sharing “My mum won't allow me to go if he didn't get in and I came here a few hours early so I didn't get to know his results.” He nodded.
“He got in, you'll be in the same class... Does your mum not want you to be a hero?” I laughed.
“Oh if that was the reason you'd consider her caring and worried, but it's not! She'd rather I not have my quirk, even when it saved me from having a bullet pierce through my heart because it's inconsiderate that I have the protection of my quirk when my brother is quirkless.” He raised an eyebrow.
“Your brother is quirkless?” I nodded and he continued “He took down the zero pointer of his section, by himself.” I looked to Hanako and she was looking at me as well. I turned back to Eraserhead “That's impossible...”
“That's what happened.”
