Carlos Sainz had secured another podium, this time at the Russian Grand Prix, and the celebrations were still echoing in the Ferrari garage. The familiar euphoria of success permeated the air, but amidst the cheers and champagne showers, Carlos had something else to look forward to – a visit to his parents' house.

His parents had learned about their son's new relationship through the press along with the rest of the world. To put it mildly, they were not pleased with their son for not sharing such important news with them directly. But there was an undeniable silver lining to this cloud – they were thrilled to know that the woman he was dating was none other than Valentina, their sweet dentist, whom they had grown fond of during their visits to her clinic.

So, as the crimson Ferrari raced to yet another triumph on the track, Carlos made plans to take Valentina to meet his parents for the first time as his girlfriend. It was an occasion that carried a unique blend of anticipation and anxiety. Carlos knew his parents would adore Valentina once they got to know her better, but that initial meeting had him feeling a bit jittery. He couldn't wait for Valentina to meet his parents, for them to see the amazing woman he had fallen for.

The wheels of Carlos's car rolled over the familiar streets of Madrid, heading towards the Sainz family's childhood home. Valentina sat in the passenger seat, a bundle of emotions swirling within her. Excitement, nervousness, and curiosity all danced together as she contemplated meeting Carlos's parents.

It was a unique situation for Valentina. She had known Reyes and Carlos Sr. as just her patients – two friendly faces who would visit her dental clinic regularly. Their interactions had always been pleasant, filled with casual conversations about life, dental hygiene, and, of course, their son Carlos. Valentina had grown fond of them during those visits, and she couldn't help but wonder how this shift in their relationship might affect things.

As the car pulled up to the front of Carlos's childhood home, Valentina couldn't help but take in her surroundings. The house had an inviting charm to it, with a well-kept garden and the warm glow of lights spilling from the windows. It was clear that this place held a special significance for Carlos.

Carlos parked the car and turned to Valentina, offering her a reassuring smile. "Are you ready, mi amor?" he asked.

Valentina nodded, feeling her heart beat just a little faster. "Yes, I am," she replied, her voice laced with both determination and excitement.

The door opened, revealing Reyes Sainz with a warm smile on her face. she welcomed Valentina with a warm embrace, putting her at ease instantly. As they stepped inside, Valentina felt a rush of emotions. She was no longer their dentist; she was here as Carlos's girlfriend.

In the backyard, Valentina met Carlos's father, Ana, and Blanca, his two sisters. The evening sun cast a soft, golden glow over the gathering as they all settled around the table. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and laughter as conversations flowed effortlessly.

Reyes, ever the gracious host, engaged Valentina in stories about Carlos's childhood antics, making her laugh along with the rest of the family. Blanca shared stories of her own, recounting Carlos's passion for racing from a young age. Ana, being the youngest, added her own humorous anecdotes that left everyone in stitches.

Valentina couldn't help but be charmed by Carlos's family. They were welcoming, funny, and clearly adored their son and brother. It was evident that Carlos had inherited his warmth and charisma from them.

Throughout the dinner, Carlos's hand found Valentina's under the table, a silent reassurance of his support. She smiled back at him, grateful for his presence.

The dinner continued, with laughter and conversation flowing freely. As the evening progressed, Carlos's father, Reyes, couldn't help but ask Valentina about her family.

"So, what do your parents do, Valentina?" Carlos Sr. inquired, genuinely curious. Carlos, sitting next to her, gave a soft warning look and whispered, "Pa..."

Valentina, however, smiled warmly and reassured Carlos, "It's okay, don't worry." Then, she turned her attention to his father and began to speak.

"I am a child of neglect, actually," Valentina began, her tone gentle but matter-of-fact. "My parents abandoned me when I was about 12. I lived with my grandparents until I was 18. I haven't talked to my dad in the last 15 years. From what I've last heard, he's been married more than three times, and his newest wife is close to my age. As for my mom, she's married to an industrialist and lives in Barcelona. She cares more about her new family, but we do get to talk once in a while. One of my step-sisters is sweet and has helped me out sometimes. I was raised mostly by my godfather, who paid my fees and other expenses, bought me my first car, and all. But for family, it's just my elder brother, Alex, who's been there throughout, and his husband, Nicholas. And now..." Valentina paused, her gaze shifting to Carlos, who was sitting beside her. She smiled tenderly, continuing, "...and now, Carlos."

Carlos, deeply moved by her words, reached over and gently rubbed her back. He placed a soft kiss on her shoulder, a silent gesture of love and support.

Carlos Sr and the rest of the family listened attentively. Carlos's mother, Reyes, spoke up next, her voice filled with warmth. "If you consider Carlos your family, then we are your family too."

The sentiment was echoed around the table, with nods and smiles from Carlos's sisters, Ana and Blanca. Valentina felt a warmth in her heart as she looked around at these kind and welcoming faces. At that moment, she knew she had found not only Carlos but also a place where she truly belonged.
