(Ignore the champagne and the glass lol)

Yes he has a key, but it's for emergencies only. He tends to use it at his own free will though.

"Daa!" She squealed

"Hey baby." He got up, picking her up "You blocked me, Ry. Really?"

"Told you I was grocery shopping." I went into the kitchen, sitting the bags on the counter

"And we were in the middle of a fu-freakin' conversation." He followed me, watching his language for Skylar's sake

"Next time you should wait until I'm done grocery shopping." I shrugged

He sucked his teeth "Whatever. You got any more groceries?"

"No." I began putting the food away

"Gummy" Skylar tapped his hand, pointing to the fruit snacks as he sat her on the counter

"Interact with your child since you won't be seeing her this weekend...again." I made a smart remark, handing him a pack of fruit snacks

"You make it seem like I'm purposely trying to miss time with her." He opened the pack, eating one then giving her one

"I know you're not. But we already established that you'd get her this weekend. How you think she gonna' feel when she's older and you don't show up?"

"You know I'm tryna' stack enough bread so she don't never gotta' want like we did."

"That's not as important as showing up DJ." I used his nickname, which is something I rarely do

"Look, I'll get her next weekend. Ok?" He handed her another fruit snack

"Whatever." I gathered all the empty bags and put them in a drawer "And tell your girlfriend stop stalking my page. This the second time I done had to block her"

"She not my girlfriend"

"Whatever she is. Just make sure she stop." I leaned against the counter

"Say daddy got this mommy." He talked to Skylar, making her giggle

I folded my arms, smiling at them. He really is a great dad, it's just sometimes he puts work before her and I can't stand that. I mean I understand he wants to provide a good lifestyle for her, but 90% of good parenting is just being present.
I wish he could understand that.

"How long you gonna' be here?" I asked

"Go take yo' shower." He knew what I was about to ask

"Thanks." I said before pecking Sky's cheek and going upstairs

After I showered I decided to make dinner which consisted of leftover lasagna from yesterday and garlic bread- made fresh.

"Lil mama knocked out." Dorian came into the kitchen with the video monitor

"Cool, you want a plate to take with you?"

"Yeah," he leaned on the counter "So I take it you not mad anymore?"

"Oh I'm still mad, I just need to get rid of this lasagna." I put some into a container for him

He sucked his teeth and stood up straight. "I promise I'll stop missing time wit' her."

"Mhm. Here, be safe at work" I handed over the container

I don't consider what he does as work. But I don't knock it because he's provided a good lifestyle for himself and us.
I just wish it wasn't so dangerous.

He took the container with a straight face "Ha ha."

I walked him to the door and once he got outside he turned around and puckered his lips.

I scoffed at before closing the door in his face and locking it. He always plays like we're still a couple but we both know there is no crossing that bridge ever again.

"Das' cold." He laughed on the other side of the door

Heyyy y'all.
