"That's interesting. I didn't know such a thing was possible," Jungkook's eyes widened in amazement.
"Neither did we till we met Joonie hyung freshman year and he told us about his courses," Jimin chuckled.
"I'm surprised you're friends with someone in 11th grade, I thought this school placed each grade level in a different building?" Jungkook questioned as he pointed out the window to the other three buildings around the schoolyard.
"We're also friends with a couple of seniors. You're right that all the grade levels are in different buildings, but even if we're all in different grades, club activities include all grade levels and during lunch, we're all intermingled as well," Jimin explained and Jungkook nodded in understanding.
Taehyung drew attention back to Jungkook by asking, "Anyway, where are you originally from?"
"I'm from Busan, lived there all my life until we moved yesterday."
"Oh? I'm originally from Busan as well! But we moved to Seoul almost seven years ago now," Jimin counted the years on his fingers before nodding and confirming it had been seven years.
"That's cool, what brought your family to Seoul?" Jungkook asked curiously.
"His mom got a better job offer here, what brought your family here?" Taehyung spoke up before Jimin could answer.
"Same situation. My dad got promoted and with that, we had to move here for it," Jungkook answered with a sympathetic smile to Jimin before asking Taehyung, "Where are you originally from?"
"I was born in Daegu and moved here around the same time as Jimin."
"I see, so you guys have been friends for seven years?"
"Yeah," Jimin placed an arm around Taehyung, "we're best friends and inseparable."
Taehyung laughed and nodded in agreement, "No one can separate us even if they tried. I'll always be here for my cutie pie Jiminie!"
"Yah! You're the cute one!" Jimin protested causing Taehyung to smile and pinch his cheek which elicited a whine of pain from Jimin.
The three boys continued talking until the bell rang, signaling it was time for the teachers to switch classes. Mr. Yung gathered their worksheets and ordered them to return the classroom to normal before he left. They had just finished setting the desks back in order when Mrs. Kim, their science teacher, entered the room. She greeted them happily and introduced herself to Jungkook before setting up her laptop to start her lecture.
Classes dragged on until it was finally lunchtime. Jimin and Taehyung led the way to the cafeteria and then the three teenagers got in line. They chatted as they got their food and then headed towards the duo's usual table. A few minutes later they were joined by Seokjin and Yoongi.
"Who's this?" Seokjin asked as he took a seat. He was dolled up, as usual, wearing a crisp fitted baby blue shirt, dark blue jeans, light makeup, and many accessories. His almond-colored hair was styled in a way to soften his features. From beside him, Jimin could see Yoongi who was wearing his usual white t-shirt with the words Anti-Establishment written in English, along with dark ripped jeans and a black beanie placed over his messy red hair.
"Jin hyung, this is Jungkook. Jungkook, this is Seokjin but he likes to go by Jin hyung. And the one in the beanie is Yoongi hyung. They are the two seniors we mentioned to you earlier," Taehyung introduced.
Jimin watched Jungkook shake hands with Jin and then wave to Yoongi who waved back. It was then he saw two blue strings take form at Jungkook's wrist and extend towards Yoongi and Seokjin. Jimin grinned, happy to see Jungkook would be a part of their group of five.
