Elle lay in bed. She felt numb. It had been over a month since the shooting. Since she was shot and she had lost her baby
A baby that she didn't even know that she was having. She knew that she had sacrificed herself to save her sister. She loved grace and she knew she'd do it again, she knew grace not had Aurora and she had mark were making things work again
Elle heard the sound of Aurora crying and pulled the duvet over her head as Jackson got under the covers with her and smiled as he placed a hand on her cheek
"It's torture. It makes me womb hurt listening to her cry. Knowing we'll never get to hold our baby and hear them cry" she sobbed as Jackson smiled
"I know. But I'm here and I'll lie here all day and I'll hold you as long as I have too. I know that we never got to hold our baby. We never got to love them. We didn't even know that your pregnant but it was my baby too and we will deal with this together I've got you" he said as he pulled her to his chest
She sobbed into his chest as he ran his hand through her hair trying to soothe her as he held her close "it's okay I've got you"
"How do we get over this. Loosing our child" she asked as he brushed the tears away from her eyes and smiled
"I don't know but we will deal with it together" he said. He knew how he was trying to be strong for Elle but his heart was also breaking. Breaking for the child that they lost together and would never get back and never get to meet

Elle walked into the residents lounge as she saw Jackson as he stood with April. She looked to him as she looked to see grace
"You just had a baby why are you here" April asked
"I had to get out the house don't worry I'm not here to work. I wanted to check on my sister" grace said. Elle looked to her and smiled. Elle knew how Meredith had a miscarriage as well as she did but only jackson knew over hers
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine grace"
"I've hardly seen you since i had Aurora. I know that you nearly died and how you risked your life for me. For her I just want to know if your okay. I need you to be okay" grace said as Elle smiled
She knew that she loved her sister but she knew that grace already felt guilty and she didn't want to tell her what she had lost in honour to safe her
"Are you sure" grace asked as Elle looked to her and nodded
Elle could feel people looking at her. She was the girl who was shot and she was annoyed "when is the staring going to stop?" Elle asked
As soon as the novelty wears off just ignore them and talk to me" grace said as Elle smiled
"I promise you grace in fine. It's just a lot happened that's all" Elle said as grace smiled. Elle knew that she didn't want to talk over the fact that she had miscarried
"Is everything okay with you and Jackson. You seem tense" grace asked as Elle looked to her and smiled
"We're okay" she said. She knew that it was tense and how they had hardly spoken to each other but they were there for each other
