I giggle and blush at the name, "Goodnight baby, I love you too."

Another day has been complete.

Soda's POV:
It's only ten, but Steve's already here. The whole school knows about us so what does it matter?

And as much as I hate to admit it. I am jealous of my little brother.

I mean it know he's fourteen and it's crazy, but.
I wanna be a dad. I wanna teach someone how to do things, and do it with my boyfriend.
My actual lover.

We met in middle school, his name is Steve Randle. He's my best friend, and things have always been weird between us. That's another thing Pony's right about.
I am insecure about my sexuality. I don't even know what it is? I want to say straight, but the feelings I get around Steve aren't straight, and he sure isn't either. Or at least he doesn't act like it with me.

Well, we aren't officially dating. We didn't confirm anything, our actions are leading everyone on. Including each other. I'd love to date him, one day. One amazing day. It'll all be a reality.

But that day's not here yet.

I'm laying in his lap letting him play with my hair. He makes me feel so loved it's crazy.

"You're so attractive, Soda. Do you know that?" I feel myself blush as I look back up into his green eyes. They're even prettier when they look at me.

"Yeah, usually. Especially when you remind me." I smile.

He leans down and gives me a kiss. Did I tell you about how good Steve smells, or how soft his lips are?

"I love you, Oda." (im so ironic 😆) He pulls me into his chest to cuddle.

"I love you too, Stevie." I let myself settle in his arms, comfort fulfilling me.

I'm driving me an Pony home, since mom gets off late today. I guess last night was all in my head.

"So he said he loved you, and now he has a girl friend?" I had just explained everything to Pony.

"He's been saying he loved me, but then everywhere I've looked today he's with her. He even tried to talk to me like this was normal. Like at night he doesn't end up in my room, holding me and shit." It's disgusting. Embarrassing. How I really fell for his silly little act of "I love you so much", "When we grow up we're gonna leave and it's just gonna be us."

"What's her name again?" Pony doesn't know half these people. I don't even know why he's asking?

"Caylyn Rogers. We used to be friends a few years ago. Everybody calls her CayLay. She's in my grade, can't hate her. She's a good soul." It's Steve. He's the problem.

"Do you know any of Steve's close friends? You could see if he talks about you, or what his intentions are?" I can't stand Pony sometimes. He has answer for every damn thing. What a nerd.

"Two-bit Matthews." I shrug, I've had classes with him for a while now, but he's one of the class clowns that gets in trouble a lot. I do stupid shit, but not enough for trouble. He takes it past that limit.

"The funny kid, that's always getting pulled into the hall?" Pony nearly laughs just from describing him.

"Yeah, I'm gonna call him." I decide.

"You really think you're gonna get anything out of him?" Pony raises his eyebrows.

"Hell yeah." I nod, we get out the car and head inside. I do exactly that. I call him.

"Soda Curtis? Never thought Pretty Rain would call me!" Ahh damn here we go.

"I'm calling you cause I have a for real question about Steve. You're one of his actual friends right?"

"Naw. I'm fake. I'm damn near plastic, shits fantastic man. Anywho whatcha wanna ask I love exposing little dildos like Steve?" I can't with this dude.

"Why does he suddenly have a girlfriend?"

"CayLay? He don't like that lil bitch. He's just with her to stir shit up and look good at school." He meant that so much, I nearly heard the eye roll.

"Great, thanks."

"Anytime Curtisoda! Piece!"

He's definitely an interesting guy. But hey at least now I know my guy isn't being for real.
