Chapter 8

It's been a couple weeks since Richard agreed to go out will wally and Bruce is finally letting them go on their first date. However his rule was the restaurant had to be in Gotham. Wally was fine with that so he asked Richard to make a reservation at his favorite restaurant. Well when the day finally came Richard sat nerves in his living room. yeah it was just wally and you guys have gone out together all the time, but never as Dick and Wally or as a couple. Richard thought as his leg began to bounce. i cant let him know im robin, i cant let him know i know him. Richard kept repeating. 

Finally the door bell could be heard throughout the house. Richard was quick to answer it, even beating Alfred. Richard threw the door open with such might and was so happy to see wally standing there in his typical hoodie. " Okay Alfred make sure to tell Bruce that im leaving and that i'll be fine and that i know."  Richard told the Butler who happened to be standing next to him. " of course master Richard." with that said the ebony shut the door behind him and jumped into the speedsters arms, giving him a quick kiss. wally of course kissed him back and picked him up to start running off but was stopped by richard. "sorry Bruce said no superpowers. he does want alot of attention directed towards me." 

"okay so what do we take?" He asked.

"Well i do have my bike." richard lead Wally to the small shed where he kept his motorcycle. "Wait here." richard instructed as he went inside the dark shed. After a quick search to make sure all the robin stuff was put away, he turned on the lights and opened the doors. "you can come in now." he said as soon as he realized the R-cycle is still showing. " Whoa is robin here? Can i go see him?" wally asked. "Um, no you cant, him and Batman are in a meeting with Bruce. Thats why i didnt say goodbye to Bruce. He doesnt like to be interrupted during his meetings. " Richard lied. Wally nodded. "well lets get to that restaurant." He flashed a huge smile and Richard jumped onto his civilian motorcycle. Wally hoped on behind him and held on tightly as Richard spend off.

It only took five minutes to get through all of the gotham traffic since richard was being reckless, as if he were robin. He quickly parked the bike in a close to the door parking spot. "Hey Robin has taken me here!" Wally smiled " Really ? " richard asked " Yeah alot actually. we have been coming to this little Restaurant for some time now."  "Well lets get inside." Richard led the way inside and just sat down at a near by table, with Wally following close behind and sitting across from each other. A waiter came up almost immediately. "The usual, Dick?" he asked. "Bacon Cheese burger with a Half Chocolate and Half vanilla shake?" richard questioned. "Coming up, and for you sir?"  "I'll have the same except all chocolate. " The waiter nodded and walked off. " Wow Robin gets that exact same thing." Wally pointed out. "Yeah well, I learned it from him." Richard said calmly. "You know, you seem to be better friends with my best then me, we all need to hang out some time." richards eyes widened. "Um, Yeah maybe." he replayed. "Do you know the secret I.D. of the Bat and Robin?" wally asked causing Richard to practically choke on the air. "Um, yeah i do and you should know im not aloud to say , the Batman would kill me. " which wasnt a lie. 

suddenly wally's phone went off. "Shit, im sorry Dick but the team is calling me. We will have to continue later." and with that wally sped out of the restaurant and to the cave. " Hey Jerry Can you put that on Bruce's account? I got to run." he nodded and Richard ran out and hopped on his bike. He didnt take the time to ride to the manors front entrance and just headed straight for the batcave waterfall. With ease he drove in and parked next to the batmobile. "Whats wrong Bruce?" he asked seeing Bruce sitting in front of the computer. "Good you're here. Lets go the mountain. " Is all the bat said, Shocker. Richard was very compliant and put his costume on as fast as he could, only to follow batman through the teleporter. It read their names and I.D. numbers as they continued walking to the debrief room. "Great i have a team bonding assignment for you." Batman actually let out a small smile. Richard saw wally in his kid flash uniform and smiled, waving to his best friend and unknown to Wally boyfriend. Wally waved back. "Great, Robin Kid Flash i want you two paired together."Batman said as he he pointed into a random direction in the hallway. "There is a simulation through there. " is all batman said before both wally and Richard ran in. 

as soon as they entered a shard of metal was coming towards Robin. he flipped out of the way with ease and looked around for Wally. " the objective is to find the hostage and save her." Richard heard batman in his ear. he smile and starts to servery his surroundings. Finding him self in the middle of a heavily treed jungle he started to run away from the door.  "hey there's  a couple badies up ahead watch out." Robin heard his best friend over the com. This news made robin run harder towards them. Pulling out a couple of his bird-a-rangs and throwing them once they were insight. 

After  a small amount of time and fighting both Robin and Kid flash ended up where the hostage was. Robin went to go untie the hostage when she attacked. he couldnt react in time and his mask was torn off.  he quickly turned in hopes Wally didnt see him. the whole simulation was turned off as robin kept his hands firmly pressed to his face. "Dick?"Wally whispered. Richard instantly straightened but instead of turning around he reached to his utility belt and threw a smoke bomb down. Using this distraction, robin made his escape. he ran out of the room and right to his room where he had more masks. Batman came in soon after. "did he see any thing?" He asked.richard applied  his mask to his face and looked at the bat. "i think he might of.. Im sorry Batman. " Batman laid his hand on his wards shoulder. "Dont worry the cameras cut out right before the mask came off. If any one had a chance of seeing it was only wally." richard looked up at his adoptive father with a questioning look. "Batman did you have something to do with this?" he asked. Batman removed his cowl slightly and winked. " i dont know what you are talking about." he placed the cowl back  on and left. He wanted Wally to know. Richard couldnt help but smile.
