Just like any other morning at the Awa'atlu island, all people of the Metkayína clan completed their morning chores and hunts, including the Maktenalyí people, that were helping as they could before the next restauration days

The restauration days happens between months, its the days that the Metkayína clan and the other southern clans helps with the Kanu'ektu island and the Maktenalyí village reconstruction since the sky people attack, one year ago. All the damage in the island and village made impossible to the Maktenalyí people stay and reconstruct it themselves, so they asked for help and all the allied southern clans, including the Metkayína clan, agreed helping the Maktenalyí people as a proof of loyalty and gratitude for all the protection, respect and wisdom shared through the clans by them as the Tulkun guardians, especially Päyva's family, known by their name and history since the first songs.

Päyva was outside, sitting at the edge of her marui's net, braiding one of her mother's baskets while watching her siblings play with Tuk in the water. But there was many thoughts bothering her, it was the many doubts that she was thinking about telling Neteyam about her clan before anyone else did, the Sully family has turned into one of the Metkayína now, reef people, with the restauration day getting closer, it would be hard to hide it much longer. And the doubts about Payakan, she have been hearing rumors about Lo'ak meeting with Payakan and even that he was about to bond with him, but she have so many responsibilities to take care of now, that she couldn't even follow Lo'ak to try to check it out herself.

But soon, Päyva's thoughts got interrupted by the sound of the bugle of the clan and Tsireya running towards Päyva while screaming her name, that made Päyva put the unfinished basket besides her and got up before walking towards Tsireya with a worried look

–"'Yva- 'Yva!" – Tsireya said now standing in front of Päyva while trying to catch her breath

–"Tsireya, what happened? Are you okay?"

–"They're back!" – she said with a bright smile

–"What..?"

–"Our brothers and sisters are back!!" – Tsireya said grabbing Päyva's arms in excitement while she just stood there with a shocked and happy face before realizing neither her siblings or Tuk were there anymore

She just roll her eyes and smirk, while slowly letting Tsireya's hand go off her arms

–"Go warn the rest of the clan, i'll go find my siblings!"

Tsireya nodded and quickly called her ilu before jumping in the water. Right after that, before Päyva could call her ilu, her parents arrived, with a tired and worried look, especially Päyva's mother, since right now she was going into labor, supporting herself by putting her arm around Päyva's dad's neck.

Päyva stared at that situation with wide eyes before running towards her parents to help. While helping her father put her mother in the water, Päyva got completely desperate and confused about what to do to try to help, but before she could say anything, Koa'ri, her dad, spoke first
