Päyva was riding her ilu at that morning through the corals of the reef, appreciating every color of the plants and all the shoals of small fishes that swims through it
It's been some weeks since the accident with her village happened, even though the Metkayína people were kind to her family and clan, she still feels like she doesn't belong there. The Metkayína ways were very similar to the Kanu'ektu ways, but she still misses her daily routine at her home and hunting with her old friends.
While she swam and collected some shells, she felt someone poke her shoulder from behind, when she turns she saw Tsireya waving softly at her, who returned the wave with a soft grin
–Good morning, Päyva – Tsireya signed to her with a bright smile
–Morning, 'Reya'!
–Since when were you awake? – Päyva asked with a confused look, she was used to see Tsireya awake some hours after her, especially because it's been only some minutes since the eclipse ended.
–I'm the one who's supposed to ask you that!" – Tsireya signed back – You don't need to take care of every task of a hunter this early, 'Y'va'...– she signed with some worry in her eyes
–I know, i just couldn't sleep well last eclipse, i think i feeled like today could be more..different? – she signed while messy smiling at the girl.
But before Tsireya could reply, both heard the sound of the alarm coming from the beach shore, the two of them looked at each other at the same time with a surprised yet scared look, something was happening.
Worried, they called their ilus and rided back to the beach as fast as they could
When they got close enough to see the beach, they saw five ikran on the sand and six forest na'vis standing right in front of them, with all the people from the island surrounding them with confused, shocked and sort of judgemental looks
They also saw Ao'nung and Rotxo surrounding and pointing at their tails while smiling and laughing, probably making fun of them
Päyva and Tsireya rided their ilus closely to the shore and broke the bond with them before to step on the sand at the shallower part and got into the water to swim back there
Tsireya got up from the water first, looking at the strange and new people, making eye contact with one of the two na'vi boys who seem to be the same age as her and Päyva, who broke the contact when he saw her looking back at him
Päyva rised from the water right after her, walking side by side, also curious about who they were and why they were here. But getting her thoughts interrupted by the look of also one of the forest na'vi boys, he was staring deeper into her eyes while he watches her getting closer, and looking away when he finally noticed her looking back at him
