doorbell rings
door opens, closes
Ben
Doc, ang bigat ng bag mo. May ginto ba rito?
Aldrine
Akin na. Pasok ka.
Ben
Nandiyan . . . anak mo?
Aldrine leads the way to the living room, where Chi is sitting on the couch.
Aldrine
Chi . . .
Aldrine
Say hi to Kuya Ben, 'nak.
Chi puts down Aldrine's phone to look up at them. Her lips part as she tries to get to know Ben, but eventually she smiles.
Chi
Hi po, Kuya Ben.
Aldrine
He's Dada's friend.
Chi
Hi, Dada's friend.
Ben presses his fist over his parted lips, his gaze shifting between Aldrine and Chi, still so undoubtedly shock.
Ben
Doc, alam mo 'yung alamat ng pinagbiyak na bunga?
Aldrine takes a seat next to Chi on the couch. He gets his cup of coffee from the coffee table and sips on it.
Aldrine
Kape?
Ben
Tapos na, doc.
As Ben takes a seat on the lone couch, Chi climbs down and approaches towards him to hold his hand, which she brings to her forehead. She climbs back to the couch beside Aldrine, phone back on her hands.
Ben
Doc . . . pigilan mo 'ko iuuwi ko 'yang anak mo.
