Chapter- 64 Let's meet!

Start from the beginning

Total day went in a blur. Arnav and Avi only came home at night and then we had dinner.

We didn't talk much at night as Arnav was so busy talking on phones and he also talked with dad but I don't know what they talked about.

The next day, we went to court again. We were seated in the front row and dad sat in the chair beside the victim stand.

"It will be ok," Arnav muttered as he held my shivering hands.

Judge asked dad to stand in the victim stand and he did then the debate started.

This time, the opposite lawyer was not that aggressive. He gave in easily and the opposite person who filed the case agreed that it was fake, and he did it because of jealousy.

The Judge announced that Dad was innocent, and that person apologized to dad. Judge sentenced that man to 6 months for defaming dad.

"Thank you, Arnav," I mumbled, gripping his hand.

"No need, baby," he said and pinched my nose.

We came home happily. Finally, I saw mom tension free.

"Mom, I talked with your school management. The parent who accused you already told the management that she accused you wrongly, so she will apologize to you tomorrow in front of everyone and she will take the complaint back," Arnav said to mom.

"And, dad, your boss also has hands in framing you, so he was fired. You can go to your work from tomorrow onwards," he told dad.

"Thank you for everything, Arnav," mom said with tears while holding his hands.

"No need, maa," he replied and squeezed mom's hand lightly.

"Avi, we have to go," Arnav muttered after sending mom and dad to their room.

"Where to?" Avi and I asked.

"We can't ignore the boss who accused you, can we?" Arnav said with a smirk and God, this is the first time I am seeing arrogance in his voice and an evil smirk on his face.

"I arranged a meeting this evening. Everyone who accused you is going to be there, so we have to leave now," Arnav commented, and Avi nodded.

"Take care, baby, and eat on time," Arnav said, cupping my cheeks as we were in my bedroom while Avi was in his room, packing his stuff to leave.

"Hmm, you too," I mumbled.

"Sorry, I can't spend time with you as I have to leave immediately," he said, and I nodded as I said, "I know."

"I don't want to thank you, but I am thankful to you," I muttered with a pout.

"How about you give me a kiss," he remarked and kissed my forehead, then I pecked his lips.

"Bye, butterfly," he patted my head when Avi called us.

"Bye, Nain. Take care of mom and dad, and take care of yourself too," Avi said and patted my shoulder as he gave me a side hug.

"Bye mom, bye dad," they said and drove off.

In the evening Avi called and said everything had settled now and Arnav actually fired all of them who were involved in that scam. He didn't tell me the details, but I am happy.

Finally, the chaos in my family settled down. I took a deep breath.

I stayed in my house three more days until mom and dad settled down normally. They went through a lot because of me, but if I say sorry, they will feel worse.
.
.

"Come fast, princess. It's getting late," dad called me.

"Bye, mumma," I hugged her one last time and climbed dad's motorbike.
