Trust Issues
"Stay back! Who are you?" The teen with intense scarring on his left side demanded of the two men before him. He kept his blaster raised and trained on them.
A ringing sound and tugging sensation made Time analyze this kid more closely.
"You're a force sensitive." He stated.
The teen's eyes widened with fear as his grip on the blaster tightened.
"Time..." Twilight warned next to him with his arms raised. Time payed him no mind as he continued.
"Your braid... You were a padawan."
"And what of it? The Jedi are long gone!" The kid growled. Slowly, he backed away from the two men.
"Not all of us are."
The kid stopped his retreat, but kept his blaster raised.
"How do I know you're not lying... that you're not a hunter?" His voice shook much to his annoyance.
"What do you feel?" Calmly, Time stretched his hand toward him in demonstration. "Reach out. What does the force tell you?"
Hesitantly, the teen did the same. He inhaled slowly. "You... you feel warm. You're not like them?"
"No. We're not like them." Time smiled gently. "Can you trust us enough to let us help you?" He stepped forward with his arm still outstretched.
The scarred teen watched as storm troopers marched by the building they were on top of. He sighed and lowered his blaster. "Fine..."
Bounty Hunting Gone Wrong
"Where am I?" The guy bound to the backseat of Legend's ship groaned as he came to.
"You're on my ship," He answered curtly not sparing a glance.
"Oh. Where are we going?" the guy piped up. His prisoner didn't seem much older than himself and he wasn't sure how to feel about that. He was also surprisingly chipper for Legend's comfort. "Do you mind taking me back soon? I was doing something important."
Legend's face scrunched in confusion. What was up with this guy? "No. I'm turning you in."
"Rude." The young man huffed. "Turning me into what? I'd prefer to stay Hylian thank you."
"What?" Finally, Legend turned to face him.
"You didn't finish your sentence." The older boy blinked at him innocently with bright blue eyes. "You said you were going to turn me into something but you didn't finish."
Legend blinked back at him with his mouth agape. He was dumbfounded! Was this guy really so ignorant or was he messing with him?
"I'm handing you over to my client! You have a bounty on your head!" He exclaimed.
"What's a bounty?" The guy had the audacity to look confused and innocent with his head tilted to the right.
"Great three! Just shut up!" Legend turned back to the ship's controls with a growl.
"Again rude... After you're done with the bounty, can you please take me back?" His prisoner peeked over his shoulder from where he sat.
"Have you been living under a rock?!" The bounty hunter grappled with the bubbling urge to punch the guy. He instead tugged on his pink and blond bangs in irritation.
"No actually. I've only just started living on organic ground." His prisoner stated matter-of-factly. The guy glanced about the cluttered cockpit as he casually tapped a tune out with his foot on the floor. He seemed impossibly comfortable despite his hands being cuffed behind his chair.
After staring at him for a long moment, Legend flopped back against his seat with a huff. "Who in the outer rim is this guy?! Goddess! This job couldn't get worse!"
A light flashed on the dash before a cold accented voice announced over the radio,"Unknown craft you have entered imperial restricted space prepare to be boarded."
"Blast it!" He slammed a fist onto the arm of his chair. He should have known that the Empire would spread their advances out here soon.
"Hey!" The peculiar boy called his attention and blew some of his fluffy bangs out of his eyes. He continued with his voice oddly serious in comparison to his previous carefree demeanor, "I'm guessing these guys aren't your clients. How about you get these binders off me and I'll help get us out of here?"
Legend chuckled humorlessly and wrestled with his growing panic. "No way. The two of us against a whole light cruiser? Not a chance. On top of that, can you even fight?"
"You would be surprised..." the boy replied with an even tone. The spacecraft shook as a tractor beam locked onto it and slowly dragged it in.
"Oh I'm sure! Why you of all people have a bounty on your head makes no sense to me." Legend snapped, gripping his chair to keep himself steady.
Those blue eyes burned into his own as the man snapped back. "So what are you going to do then? Huh?"
Legend tore away from his piercing gaze. "Maybe if I hand them over to you they'll be nice enough to let me go? Heh. What am I saying?" He chuckled bitterly again. He pulled on his bangs to push against his growing panic. The Empire can't find him. They can't know what he is. They can't...
"You still haven't explained to me what a bounty is."
This guy! Legend leapt from his seat and turned on him with a growl. "People want you, alright? Dead or alive! Probably because you did something to wrong them!"
"Oh..." The boy turned his gaze to his boots and pondered a moment before blinking back at him with a quirked brow. "What did I do?"
"You tell me!" Legend raised his hands over his head in outrage.
A buzzing noise caused his eyes to flick towards the hatch. A cord of fear struck him paralyzed the moment the glimpsed the hatch being cut open.
"Hey." The guy called his attention once more but with a tone as soft as a cloud. "Let me out. Trust me."
Legend glanced back at the hatch then back at the boy's face. The older hylian adopted a gentle smile but his eyes shone with fierce determination that he had never seen before.
Quickly, Legend crouched behind the chair to unlock the binders. The sound of the laser cutting the hatch sent alarm signals to his head as he rushed.
"By the way, I never learned your name," the strange boy's calm voice rolled over him in waves to ease his nerves.
"Legend. My name's Legend." He stood up as the binders clicked and fell away. The mysterious hylian followed suit.
"It's cool." The boy beamed and reached into his bag on the floor. He picked it up and carried it as he walked towards the hatch. Legend's eyes widened in disbelief as he pulled out a familiar cylindrical object. He stopped before the nearly open hatch and grinned. "I'm Sky."
With an invisible force he shoved the door of the hatch into the unprepared troopers outside. The cyan blade ignited from the handle with a flash and hummed as he moved. He gestured for the stunned boy to follow.
"Let's go, Legend! We'll need to take out that tractor beam if we want to get out of here."
