A house is fully decked up like a bride and people are running hither and thither to prepare for that beautiful evening in which two hearts are going to unite:
Today there is happiness in Mehra house and in Khanna house because their children are going to get engaged today and preparations for this are being done in both the houses and the engagement ceremony will be completed in Mehra house.
A girl is getting ready sitting in front of a mirror, she is wearing a beautiful peach colored lehenga and she is looking at herself in the mirror fixing her loose hair, confused whether she looks good or not and to remove this confusion, her brother comes there, seeing which she stands in front of the mirror.
" Bhai, main kaisi lag rahi hu..?" She asks this question to her brother, in return her brother smiles at her and comes close to her.
" just like a princess, tumhe dekh kar mujhe aaj bhi yakeen nahi hota ki tum itni badi ho gyi...." he speaks on which his sister smiles only
Other side
Don't know how long a guy is standing in front of the mirror setting his hair and seeing him his sister is now irritated.
" oye, kuch shaadi ke liye bhi chhod de... aaj hi pura taiyaar ho jaayega... sagai aaj hi hai, kal nahi...." his irritated sister tells him
And while listening to her, he turns towards her setting his hair.... he's wearing a traditional white & peach color kurta set with nehru jacket
" Kaisa lag raha hu..." He spreads his arms little and asks his sister who is sitting in front of him on his bed
" Ekdam kisi zoo se nikla Bandar..." She answers him, to which Neil glare at her.
" Aaj ke din kuch accha bol deti bandariya..." He tells her this but further his sister does not say anything but holds his hand and starts taking him out and he keeps on shouting that at least let him wear perfume
At Mehra house
The Mehra family welcomes the Khanna family standing at the door with aarti, tika and flowers and they come inside
Those people and all the guests present in the house are talking among themselves and only then Pandit ji says that it is time for engagement, on which Neela speaks
" Raj, Avni kahan hai...?" On this question of his mother, Raj answers her that he brings her
Other side, Both the families come on stage and everyone waits for Avni and Raj to come
Raj comes down the stairs with Avni and comes towards the stage, seeing which everyone smiles.
He comes on the stage and Avni touches the feet of the elders of the Khanna family present there and takes their blessings and then hugs Simran
" Sorry bhabhi main aapka welcome nahi kar paayi, meri dress par kuch gir gya tha to main clean karne gyi thi..." Avni speaks to Simran, Simran smiles at her in return
" Its ok avu... ab tumhari dress theek hai...?" She asks her this to which Avni replies yes to which Simran smiles and there Bebe speaks.
" Accha, ab Raj aur simran tum dono baitho, sagai ki rasm puri karni hai..." bebe said this
Hearing this, Raj and Simran look at each other, already Simran's heartbeat was fast, since Pandit ji said that now is the time for engagement, She was normal at home but don't know what has happened to her after coming here.
She doesn't know what this feeling is... maybe engagement jitters because she's never felt so dramatic with Raj
The marriage of both is going to be a love marriage, It is obvious that their love story started in college and has now reached the point where she no longer feels butterflies in her stomach.
But today she is getting this feeling again and she doesn't know why... Today she is shy to see Raj
