Y/N and Niall had been best friends since they first met, but it hadn't been the most ideal introduction. It was a typical day for Y/N; she had just gotten back from work and was feeling a bit down. She decided to take a stroll through town to get her mind off things, and that's when she stumbled across Niall. He was sitting on a bench, strumming a guitar, lost in his own little world.

Y/N was intrigued, so she decided to take a seat beside him. After a few minutes of silence, he finally broke the ice and introduced himself. Y/N laughed awkwardly and introduced herself in turn, and they both started chatting about their respective passions and interests.

They ended up talking for hours, and before they knew it, the sun had already gone down. At the end of their conversation, the two exchanged numbers and Niall asked Y/N on a date. She was stunned and, instead of saying yes or no, Y/N simply said, 'Maybe.'

The following day, they got together for their first date, which was the beginning of their beautiful and unbreakable friendship. They quickly became inseparable, which made it all the more special. In the end, as we all know, what started off as a casual 'Maybe' eventually became the start of something beautiful.
