"Jerk." I giggled, making him laugh.

I looked into his eyes once more, noticing small strands of yellow drifting in the ice blue colour. They were so beautiful and magnificent...

"I like what you did to your hair." Said Nate, making me snap out of my trance.

"Oh eh...thanks." I replied shyly.

"How come you wanted to cut it?" He questioned.

I bit my lip, trying to find an excuse.

*EARLIER THAT NIGHT*

I knocked on the door and it opened not much later.

"Felicity? What are you doing here at this time at night?" Tink asked shocked.

"Have you been crying?" She looked concerned.

"I want you to do me a favour." I said.

That was the only thing she had to hear before pulling me inside her small house.

"Sit down." She gestured to the couch and I sat down on it.

I watched Tink disappear into the kitchen and not much later she walked out again with a cup of tea.

"Drink up." Tink ordered and I did as told again.

After that was done, the questions started. What happened? Is it Peter again? Is something bothering you? Etc etc.

"I want you to cut my hair." I suddenly spoke up, cutting Tink off.

She looked at me as if I was mad, surprise taking over.

"What?" Was the only thing she said.

I turned my head to look her dead in the eye. Seriousness took over and I repeated my words.

"I. Want you. To cut. My hair." I slowly repeated, making sure she understood me loud and clearly.

"Bu- Wha- How? How did you come up with the idea to cut these beautiful almost white locks?!" Tink questioned, taking a strand of my hair and pulling it out of my face.

"It's a long story." I sighed, standing up and walked over to a vaze with flowers.

Looking at a daisy that was standing in it, I ran my fingertops gently against the soft petals.

"Well, we have enough time." Said Tink.

"Alright. I'll tell you but I still want you to cut my hair."

Tink sighed and rolled her eyes before taking out a small tress and a pair of scissors. All the fairies cut their hair themselfes, or they asked another fairy to do it, I found this "logic" quite weird but who am I to judge.

I sat down on a chair and Tink positioned herself behind me, taking a deep breath.

"How short?" She asked.

I motioned with my hand where I wanted it. It was above my shoulders and beneath my jawline. About in the middle.
She sighed once again and the first strands of hair fell to the floor.

*PRESENT TIME*

"I wanted a change." I said.

Nate just nodded his head slightly, not looking very persuaded. He shrugged it off though and ran his hand through my hair, catching me off guard.

"I still like it. It looks better this way." Nate replied and he smiled at me, making eye contact again.

I smiled as well as I stared into his eyes. We stood there for what felt like centuries, but eventually, I broke eye contact.
