Carlos could hear the authority in her words but they were laced with care and comfort. He realized that she probably had done this a lot and he didn't want to think about the number of times she probably had to do this to herself. "Carlos," she said snapping him out of his thoughts, "I need you to hold his shoulder to stop him from moving. And Daniel, hold him from the other side," she instructed and Daniel hurriedly grasped on to Michael's arm. "Okay buddy you're going to be alright," he whispered to Michael who was gritting his teeth in pain.

"Yuki I need you to call Hawk, he's in the hotel with Alex. Ask him to come from the back door and to be discreet," she said, "take my phone and do it. The passcode is 2657 and I've saved his contact as B," she said and Yuki hurriedly picked up her phone, his hands shaking in the process.

She opened the small box and Carlos's eyes widened as he saw the needles and thread. Morgan didn't look at him as she threaded the needle and brought it to Michael's wound. "He needs to be gagged, or else we'll be attracting attention," she said as she ripped off the side of her sleeve and rolled it up, "here bite this," she said and Michael did so.

Carlos watched as she took a deep breath and plunged the needle into his skin. Michael screamed but his screams were muffled with the gag in his mouth. He was thrashing around in pain and both Daniel and Carlos had to put in all their strength to keep him in place. Daniel looked away as she began stitching Michael up with expert calm and attention. She was quick and precise and soon she was pulling out a small bandage which she wrapped around his arm. "The stitches will stop the blood flow for now," she said as she took the gag out of Michael's mouth.

Carlos was about to let out a sigh of relief but then he heard footsteps. In lightning speed Morgan had her gun pulled out as she stood up and turned just in time a man appeared, grabbing Yuki and pointing a gun at his head.

"Drop the gun," the comforting tone of her voice had disappeared and it was replaced with steel. "You do not want to escalate this any further," she said again as the man pressed the barrel of the gun harder into Yuki's temple.

He spat at her, "You really think you can save all of them? If you shoot I'll shoot him," he said.

Carlos's heart was beating so fast he felt like it would explode right out of his chest. He couldn't believe that this was really happening, what the fuck had they all gotten themselves into?

Morgan took a step forward and he watched as the man removed the safety from the gun. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," he said menacingly.

"So what do you want from this? Kill a driver and then?" Morgan asked.

"What happens after is not relevant. I have a task to do and-,"

"And what? So you shoot him. Then what?"

Carlos watched as the man glared at her, all this time Morgan was walking slowly towards him. Carlos couldn't even dare to look at Daniel and Michael, he could hear the blood roaring in his ears.

"That's none of your business bitch."

Carlos watched as Morgan cocked her head to the side, "But I'm intrigued," she said innocently.

And then it happened. She'd gotten close enough to pull Yuki away just as the man fired, the bullet missing Yuki by a mere fraction as he fell to the ground. The man was quick too as he turned the gun to Morgan. But she was quicker. Morgan had her gun pointed at the mans head.

And she fired it.

Carlos gasped as the bullet flew through the man's forehead and he collapsed in a heap. He wanted to throw up. She'd just killed someone. Right in front of his eyes. Yuki yelped as the man fell beside him and he scrambled away from him just as Hawk rushed to the alley way. "Fuck what happened?" he asked.

"Michael's hit we need to take him to his room and get someone to call the agency medic. They're on floor 13," she said as she turned to Michael. Carlos saw the splatter of blood on her face from the impact of the bullet hitting the man's head. "What about the body?" Hawk asked as he helped Michael to his feet.

"Leave that to me, take them inside and to their rooms," she said.

Carlos was too stunned to object as Hawk took them into the hotel. He'd taken the entrance at the back so no one saw them as they made their way upstairs.

"Stay in your rooms and clean up, I'll send some agents to check on you guys," Hawk said and Carlos could only nod as he kept his head down, making a beeline to his room. His mind was still reeling with what had just happened and he realized that his hands were shaking. He numbly pulled out his key card and got inside his room. He could've died today. Any one of them could've died. If Morgan hadn't come in time, the attacker would've shot one of them. He couldn't even think about the fact that Morgan had put herself in danger when she had pushed Yuki away.

He stared at the blood on his hands and his vision blurred at the sight of it. He didn't realize that he was bent over the toilet until he started throwing up. He'd seen a murder for the first time in his life today. He saw the lifeless eyes of the man as he collapsed in his own blood.

He couldn't stop throwing up and as he gripped the sides of the toilet he saw the traces of blood his fingers left behind.

He heaved again.

"Carlos, Carlos," it was Morgan. He didn't know how long he had been throwing up for but she had come back for him. He shuddered as she hurriedly passed him a bottle of water and as he drank it, his throat shouted in protest as the water cooled its soreness.

"You could've died today," he choked out as she crouched down next to him.

Her gaze softened as she pushed his hair from his forehead. "I thought something had happened to you," her voice was soft as she gazed up at him, he could see himself mirrored in her eyes. They both looked broken. "If something had happened to you-," he choked out and her gaze softened but he could see the worry in her eyes. "I thought you were the one who got hit. I don't know what I would've done-," he voice cracked and she cleared her throat sniffling in the process. He tilted her face up, his fingers splaying on her neck as he cradled her face. He realized that her face was still bloodied and she too was covered in Michael's blood too.

He collapsed into her open arms and pulled pulled her close as they both stayed there on the bathroom floor in silence.
