JiU's POV
That thought stuck with me all night
What would she do?
What would I do?
What would I be able to do?
Safe to say I didn't get much sleep because of that.
I went into work the next day, as tired as I've ever been, something in my chest, gripping my heart, threatening to crush it at any moment. A weight on my shoulders that I just couldn't shake off, guilt? Tired, weak muscles? I wish I knew.
However, I had a suspicion that the weight of what I'm involved in, was finally beginning to hit me
But maybe it's just me, getting down from the high from that came with the events of the day prior.
Again, I was left with no solid answer to my messy thoughts.
"You good?" A familiar voice met me in the corridor
"Do I look that bad, that you have to ask?" I questioned
"Awful would be a better description" he said
"You are full of kind words Daniel" I sarcastically replied
"Seriously. Did you fall into a ditch on the way here?" He asked
"I DO NOT LOOK THAT BAD!" I replied defensively
"You definitely don't~" a smile directed at me caught my attention
"I'm officially a third wheel" Daniel mumbled "Anyways, you going to answer my question?" He said
"Just didn't sleep too well" I shrugged
"How come?" Asked Y/N, the three of us now walking side by side
"Too warm" I shrugged, then we got lost in random and nonsense conversations, and before we realised it, we made it to the office
Because Kai was now dead and we had handled most interviews yesterday, we had little work to do today and we all were allowed off work pretty early
"How'd you feel about a second group date with my siblings?" Y/N asked as we entered the car park, looking at anywhere else but me
I followed her gaze every time, and yet there was nothing significant to look at, unless you think there's something interesting about a half empty car park with most parking spots having been taken by identical police vehicles.
"Are you nervous?" I asked
"No way, a group date is nothing we haven't done before" she said, still looking in every other direction
I intercepted the girls gaze by spinning around to a place where I was in her view.
"Ask me again" I said with a grin, she tried adverting her gaze again, but I just got in the way again "again. With sincerity" I teased the girl, her gaze changed it went from shy to confident in a millisecond and her eyes met mine
"Kim JiU, will you join me on a group date with my siblings as my plus one? For real this time." She asked
"I- uh..." Suddenly all words left my throat and random sounds are what remained
"Are you nervous?" She teased
"No." I replied, though I wasn't so sure myself "I will join you on this date, for real this time." I smiled
"I'll let them know" she said with a proud smile
"What's the details this time?" I asked
"Not much yet, but we're going for a nice picnic, on the beach." She said "if the weather works with us" she added
