After an unexpected sensual morning, and the first two exams out of the way, I head into town looking around for Christmas gifts for Y/N.

Its early December and with the school semester over today I want her to have a good holiday with me. According to Nick and Erica she usually avoids the holidays because they remind her of the family she doesn't have.

Talk about being able to relate.

As I walk into the café after my shopping trip, I get my usual and go sit down at the table and wait for Y/N to finish her final exam. Erica brings over my drink, but she seems distant, watching around the café like she's worried about something.

"Erica?" I ask as she slinks into the booth and pushes herself closer to the window.

"Sh" she says lowly and motions for me to move further into the booth with her.

"What are y-" and before I can finish my sentence I feel my body go cold. Something or someone is here that has made my guard up.

Erica lowers her head closer to the table and I see fear in her eyes.

"She was here, today. Inside this café."

I feel like I'm going to be sick.

"She came in with the boy and woman over in the corner booth, probably starring at you. She never gave her name when ordering her coffee, but god she resembled Y/N so much I knew who she was right away." Erica looks around the café and turns back to face me as white as a ghost.

"They're starring at us".

I hold back from turning abruptly to face them and instead use my magic to manipulate my eyes so I have a wider peripheral.

It's a boy, a few years younger than Y/N with black curly hair. His eyes are fierce, and he is wearing a long red cardigan with black dress pants. I can see that he towers over the woman he's with just by sitting down.

The woman however, her eyes could turn me to stone if I dared to look into them properly. She had golden hair that was a mix of auburn and blonde. She has on a very large black hat covering most of her face, but her outfit matched the theme. Long black lace shawl, black dress underneath.

She seemed threatening, but she was gorgeous.

That thought alone made the food I ate earlier rise to my throat.

"Your eyes.. they-"

"Never mind that. Who are they?"

"I have no idea. They don't look related to Y/N, I'm assuming they are with Ms. Harkness"

"You'd be right" says an unknown voice suddenly beside me.

I feel my body tense up, and I know Erica wishes she never sat in this booth with me. They move silently because beside me was the mystery woman, and across from me was the boy.

"What do you want" I hiss and feel my hands start to burn.

"Tsk tsk, no need for that." says the woman as she reaches down to put a hand over mine. I pull it back briskly and shuffle as close to the window as I can get.

She holds her stare as her smile widens. To passerby's this would seem friendly but that smile hid something dark I don't want to know.

"Don't come closer to me" I make myself sit straighter up, the red from my hands glowing bright under the table. I'm not only protective over me, but I don't know what they would do to Erica to get to Y/N. They are unknowing of who I am to Y/N.

"So defensive" she drawls, picking up my coffee and taking a sip. "Didn't take you for a lavender latte kind of woman" her gazes glosses over me and I feel my face grow warm.
