Chapter 3

"Went to take a dump and got lost." Everyone seemed a bit frightened about him being a captain.

"Squad Captain?You mean he's..."

"The Lord of Destruction, Yami Sukehiro!?"

"10...9...8"

"Um, what are you counting down to?" I said in a somewhat pained voice since his grip on my head was so strong.

"Your death."

"Yami Sukehiro? The captain of the Black Bulls?"

"The cost they incur in damages far exceeds the successes they're credited for right?"

"Yeah. I've heard there isn't a single decent Magic Knight on that squad."

"Yeah, I wouldn't want to join them."

While I felt like I was gonna either pass out or die due to my skull being crushed, a firework went off.

"Come on, the exam is starting"

"Tch. You get to live a little longer, brat." He said as he let go of my head and started walking away with Finral and Gordon senpai behind him. "You best make good use of the life you just got back and make this entertaining for me."

"Man, that still hurts like hell." I started massaging my head for a bit before a voice came behind me.

"Bah-ha! You okay?" I turned around to see... Kekko? Essko? The Bah-ha dude. "Must've been tough having captain Yami of the Black Bulls in your face like that."

"Yea, i'm good."

"I'm Sekke." That's what his name was. "Sekke Bronzazza. Nice to meet you, Bah-ha!"

"Name's Asta. Nice to meet you as well!"

Suddenly we saw all the captains walk up to their seats and sit down.

"That's the captain of the Silver Eagles, Nozel Silva!" That's Noelle's older brother. As soon as I remembered her name a wave of guilt and self-hating hit me like a truck. I forced these feelings down as soon as they came. I don't have time to be depressed like that right now.

"The captain of the Crimson Lions, Fuegoleon Vermillion." I'll need to figure out how to ask for his magic stone soon.

"The captain of the Green Praying Mantises,Jack the Ripper." If I'm not mistaken he had some sort of rivalry with captain Yami.

"The captain of the Blue Rose Knights,Charlotte Roselei." She had a huge crush on captain Yami. It's sad that she couldn't confess before the war. This time I'll make sure she can convey her feelings to the captain, without there being some form of war or something similar to that going on.

"Captain of the Purple Orcas, Gueldre Poizot." I'll also need to figure out a way to expose him to the Wizard King, since he was the reason the Eye of the Midnight Sun was able to infiltrate the kingdom.

"The captain of the Coral Peacocks, Dorothy Unsworth." I can see she's still sleeping. During the war she was barely asleep. It's kinda refreshing to see her like this.

"The captain of the Aqua Deers, Rill Boismortier." I remember he had a crush on Charmy paise but never got the chance to confess.

"And now, for the most promising Wizard King candidate." People started cheering. "The captain of the most powerful Magic Knights Squad, the Golden Dawn, William Vangeance." I'll need to figure out how to deal with him and Patry before anything can escalate to the point that Zagred has crossed to our world again.

3rd person POV

As Yami sat down on his seat he yawned.

"Such a pain in the ass.." He took a puff of his cigarette. "Can't we just get this over with?"
