"A what?" He questioned, laughing lowly at her use of words.

"Is that not the expression?" She wondered quizzically, looking off into the trees in thought. Her bottom lip pushed out beneath her top, considering what else she could have said to make the words right."Regardless I have a big ask."

He slowed himself to a halt, waiting for her ask him whatever was plaguing her mind at this moment. Mazeki finally stopped after a few more paces, no longer looking at him as her eyes continued to scope out the forest in a new lighting. Her hand extended out, moving as she spoke. "I cannot seem to make any place feel like home in the city, I believe it's nearly impossible. For that I'm hopeful you'll allow me to come out of the city." the pause in her sentence felt longer then it were due to a lack of sound coming form Arthur."I'd like to stay here, for a short while, to figure everything out for myself. To allow us a chance, to bond."

He still hadn't responded, causing Mazeki's heart to tighten in her chest as she started to feel far to open in this setting. Sharing her issues with the man she'd been arguing with some months early, perhaps he didn't want her around?

She slowly turned around, her brows pulled together in a crease as she stared nervously back at Arthur. Watching as a large almost blinding smile pulled on his lips. "I believe that may be the finest idea I've heard in quite some time. I'll see to it you have somewhere to stay with the time being."

Arthur's/ Paxon Pack, Early Night

"YOU MISSED DINNER." His voice was filled with displeasure, even through the phone. Impatiently standing in his dimly lit room, she could only imagine that he stood like a father that were tired of waiting. Tapping his foot periodically on the floor, and deeply exhaling into every moment of tired silence.

Mazeki were crouched down by a small winding stream in the forest. Not nearly big enough to be river but still noticeable. Her hand was extended into the stirring water, while her other held the phone to her ear. "I was apprehensive to spend so much time with my family, one of you might stab me in the back again." She rolled her eyes.

"Did you not return to be a part of this family?" He questioned her, walking around his room in search of where he had angrily thrown his suit jacket.

"I returned to be a part of A family, I'm still footballing offers." She brushed him off casually, running her hand along her thigh to dry off her fingers before standing.

"Fielding offers, sister."

"Yes, that."

He sighed heavily at his sisters strong will, that were only evened by the hybrid mothers own. The two were a match, Elijah could see that perfectly. How was it that he could see their potential, and yet they were blind to their love. "Mazeki, Hayley needs you. Even if she herself doesn't realize it, she needs you to even begin to get back to normal."

"She isn't going to be normal again Elijah, she's dead. People that die don't go back, they are stuck. Infinitely trying to regain some sort of normality they can obtain." Her feet crushed again drying leaves in the autumn weather, her fingers smoothing their pads against the rough surface of tree bark."She doesn't want me around her Elijah, and I don't wish to be argued with."

"She was considering taking Esther up on the offer to switch bodies." That sent the phone call into complete silence, a sinister painstaking one. One that weighed heavily on its occupants, as Mazeki took in her brothers words.

She would leave her, completely heart broken and unsalvagable. Hayley was to be her whole, the very thing that filled the pit in her body since she was only a girl. Yet she could not care as Mazeki could, she did not understand the seriousness of their relationship even when they were arguing. This would not end well, not for the next eternity as they lived their lives in sync.

"What?" Elijah frowned, hearing the breaking of her sisters air as she forced out the syllable.

"What would that do to your mate bond had she chosen to agreed?"

"I..." she muttered out, completely taken and confused by the realization that Hayley would try to get away from them, her. Why did her chest hurt like crazy?"I've gotta go. I'll find you- later. Or something."

Elijah's phone was quickly disconnected.

Arthur's/ Paxon Pack, Evening

SHE STROLLED THROUGH the small commune of wolves alike, her mind taken with itself as she ignored everyone around her. She was unfocused, and felt little energy to move. Her fingers dragged at her sides, until she felt them tugged behind her. Gathering her scattered thoughts, she turned around in confusion.

Her eyes fell to a small little girl, the one from her vision in Jaspers home. She peered up at her with wide and bright eyes staring desperately into her soul. Forcing her to her knees, she tilted her head curiously at the small girl that had been tugging at her. "Hello there."

"Are you Mazheki?" She lisped out, her lips pulled and pouting as she looked at the red haired woman.

"I am, who are you?"

"Artemis." She whispered, she looked around nervously as though being watched. Beckoning the older woman with her fingers, Mazeki smiled at the little girl and leaned in closer as though to hear all the girls secrets. Her voice was a small hum in the Original Heretics ear."Have you seen Elijah, he hasn't come to see me in a while. Is it because I took his wallet, I didn't know it was his."
