Arthur's/ Paxon Pack, Late Afternoon

THE FAMILY BOND, was one of necessary strength or resistance. In her time Mazeki had grown use to using resistance when people shared her blood, it were the only way she could stop herself from taking their heads, or stuffing their bodies into Coffins. However this resistance lead to a very tedious habit of forgiving those around her, something that her siblings had often taken advantage of.

Except Kol. God did she ever miss her little brother, ever more so with the constant reminder of him following at her beck and call at the moment. The Willy maniac had often made trouble sure, he'd kill people for boredom, or insecurities, however there had never been a time he'd made Mazeki forgive him. That sociopath had never done a single thing to hurt the hair on his sisters head.

Arthur was an odd sort of past, he was her father she knew that. He had been the one to give the possibility of her life to her, and despite not raising her, even now she knew they could share similar qualities.

When she had first encountered him after learning the news of her mothers foolishness, the world had begun clicking for her. She had fallen in love with the idea of being so cared for, so sought for by a parent. To go from such a happiness to weeping on her knees at the sight of his body had scared her mind for centuries after. Leaving her to be scorned at the touch of Niklaus, to be startled at the feeling of Elijah's hold. Mazeki had never wanted to trust someone to come into her family again.

Yet even a powerful witch as herself, the red haired Original did not know the future, unable to control the world. Sometime she was stuck to destiny's mercy even more then the average person, which lead her to now. Stood once again in the middle of a tent city, starring at her fathers plaid covered back as he spoke with Markus. "Arthur."

His limbs tightened at her voice, his posture straightening up so he appeared taller. He seemed caught in a way, she wondered why, it weren't like she were that scary. "Mazeki, you've returned." he greeted her with his humorous smile, pleased at her presence.

"I said I would didn't I?" She smiled back at him, a pleased smile that possessed no sort of malice. Her gaze briefly undressed Markus to the bones then back together, he were a sturdy man, shorter then Arthur, with a short hair cut and fairly slim eyes. He looked nervous as she met his eyes, bringing her to pull them from him and back to her father. "Today has been ever exhausting, the forest seems like a serene setting to calm myself."

Bidding a short almost inaudible excuse to say goodbye to the beta he had just been speaking with, he passed a hand over Mazeki's shoulder in order to direct her up the trail she'd just been walking."What of it was so exhausting?"

"Everything, every meeting, every word, every display. Nik doesn't want me to stay, Hayley is angry that I left to begin with, Elijah has apparently made a horrible decision once again," she tsked as she spoke of Elijah, the one sibling she had been getting along with and now the two would end up at odds again."And then, my dear Dove, my destined daughter, has committed a betrayal that cuts deeper then all above."

He stared at her pityingly as he listened to her drawl on about her day, memories of the two strolling through the forest in the old world mimicked this moment. He'd always listen to her, he wouldn't ever look away. He wanted her to talk, to rely on him. "I'm sorry your day has not turned out as you wanted it, though I'm sure you'll rectify its distress soon. You've always known how."

She made a slight snort at that part, knowing deep down he was right. She always had known how to rectify these things, even at her own expense. "I have a tall glass of water to ask you." She suddenly proposed, looking up at him with seriousness written along her face.
