Chapter 36

"Goodnight" I replied as I held her close.

A strong wind crashed over the hut making a loud noise. I woke up startled making me look around the room. Jinora and Opal weren't in there beds, they must still be in the boy's hut. I look over to where Korra laid, she was sound asleep. I laid back down facing her, I brushed a peace of her hair behind her ear to expose her face, she slept so peacefully.

I studied her face more, I brushed my thumb over the scar on her eyebrow that gave her a slit. I then brushed my hand over her cheek, which was really soft.

I closed my eyes ready to go back to sleep, till the wind crashed again making me widen my eyes only to see that I was laying next to the Blue Spirit. I quickly sat up in shook only to find Korra again.

She must have felt me move so much that she turned around with her back facing me. I couldn't help but think about what Tonraq told me. "You exactly what to look for"

I don't know how I would feel looking through her stuff. What if she wakes up and catches me? She would never forgive me.

I let out a sigh and looked over at her... she is a pretty heavy sleeper.

I convinced myself to look through her things. I got up, put on my glasses and went through her bag. I only found clothes and nothing more. I went to go through the drawer by the bed side, I found a small brown bag, I was about to grab it till Korra readjusted herself making me put it back in fear she was awake. I looked at her to see if she was awake. She wasn't. She was now laying her stomach with her back facing up.

Her muscle shirt was kind of out of place I can see a small mark hiding behind her shirt. It brought back a memory.

"Is that a tattoo?"

"JEEZ!" Korra panicked and faced Asami really quick "I thought you were still sleeping" she said as she put her sage green shirt on

"Yeah yeah so is that a tattoo?" Asami reached for her glasses putting them on

"Is what a tattoo?" Korra questioned "I don't have any"

"Behind your right shoulder"

"Oh its uh birthmark" Korra said

It was too dark. I turned on the lantern on her bed side

Now that I think about it, I don't think I have ever seen Korra's back, like she always hides it.

-Another memory-

Korra was a really built girl, it was very attractive not going to lie, 'if her front looks like this....what does her back look like?' I was about to have a look while she was distracted looking in the mirror but she turned to face me quickly. "What are you doing?" She asked me while she rolled up the wet shirt

"N-nothing, nothing at all" I stuttered so bad it was embarrassing

"Right.." she raised a eyebrow

Maybe Korra's insecure about her birthmark... I shouldn't snoop on that if it makes her uncomfortable. I couldn't help but be more curious now. I turned on the lantern on her bed side. I went to uncover the back of her right shoulder.

Until a hand grabbed my arm stooping me, I looked up seeing blue eyes staring me down "what are you doing?" She questioned me

"I-I" I was too stunned to speak. She sat up and looked me over waiting for an answer "I'm sorry I just been feeling like you've been hiding something from me." I confessed. She looked down at herself without saying a word. I was right. "Korra?"

"Asami, I can't tell you" She said

"Why not?"

"It's complicated" It was quiet again. She let out a sigh "I-I can't lose you"

"So just tell me" I was getting worried, my thoughts were just getting worse.

"I will tell you, when the time is right" She reached for my hand "do you trust me?"

Her eyes never left mine when she asked me that question. My heart ached for her, she looked lost, hurt, worried, her eyes held so many emotions.

Before I could even answer 2 southern water tribe guards broke into the hut. They all aimed water at us, some held ice shards at us. "You are to come with us" A woman commanded.

-End of Pov-

"Don't touch me!" Korra shouted as a guard laid their hands on her.

"Chief's orders" One said as they water bent cuffs on Korra's hands freezing her hands.

"What are you doing?!" Asami shouted as they pinned her to the wall to handcuff her too. "Korra!"

Korra reacted kicking the first guard off her making her fall to the ground, she broke off the cuffs and went to the woman who had Asami pinned. She pulled the woman off Asami and dragged her to the floor. Before Korra could do anything more, 3 more guards came in, 1 tacking Korra to the ground, pinning her face down, as the cuffed her and this time they used rope.

Before the guards were able to leave with the 2 girls, the front door blew up sending everyone back as 4 masked people marched in attacking the guards. Korra fell to the floor making her head spin. she looked over finding Asami unconscious next to her. "Asami" She reached for her but couldn't.

Finally, all the guards were out cold.

"Hey, wake up" Korra heard her uncle's voice. "Come on, I'm not you carry you."

Korra gained conscious seeing her family grabbing Korra's bags.

"We got to move before more come" The non-bender said to Korra. "Hurry up and get dressed."

"Yessir" She quickly grabbed a pillowcase from under the bed taking out her suit and mask.

"You two, guard the door" The two women bowed and left to the door.

Before Korra put on her mask, she looked over at Asami who was still unconscious. "Let's go" The man said making Korra put on her mask and leave with the group.

Tonight, is the night everything changes.
