Chapter 45. 'Home . . .an unearthly feeling.'

Start from the beginning

Raghav chuckles at his innocence. He finds his friend cute. But oh! He will never admit that. Anand does not understand the simple fact that if The Vihaan Khurrana gave him the responsibility to decorate the room in which no one was allowed without properly getting checked by all the security equipments and government officers, where his sister is admitted then that means something.

"Leave all this aside. How is Di?" Anand asks walking away from the room.

"She is good. Jiju said we might get another goodnews, soon." Raghav says with a grin talking about his elder sister.

Anand also grins saying, "I wonder, how our Disha will react when she will hear that soon she will become an elder sister."

Raghav chuckles thinking about it. Raghav sees off Anand saying, "When you reach the office, report about the situation here and tell Big Boss (Vineet Khurrana) that everything is under control." Anand nods before leaving.

Next day . . .

At the Cafe Bright Day ☕️ 🍞 :

Gia was glaring at her boyfriend who comes and sits with their order, one Black Coffee and one Mint Spritzer Mojito. Ritesh was praying for his friend's safety looking at the couple from the counter. The way Gia was looking at his friend, Ritesh knew his friend has dug a grave for himself.

Today, Rohan took an hour off from his duty to meet his girlfriend in the afternoon and sort out their issues because he could not wait for it. He did not like it that his sweet blabbering girlfriend is upset with him. Rohan passes a nervous smile to Gia who looks away, "Hmph!"

The officer gives a helpless look to his friend. Ritesh gives him a thumbs up before leaving for his kitchen and closing the door behind leaving his friend in his own grave.

The cafe was closed for an hour exactly at the time Ritesh often gives a break to his staff which also left for some rest for the rest room. No one was there in the entire canteen except this couple.

Rohan sighs when Gia still does not look at him as she takes a sip of her Mint Spritzer Mojito glaring at the kitchen door.

"I'm sorry." Gia finally looks at him hearing his sincere apology. He was looking down at his hands. "I thought by hiding the fact that your parents . . our elders hid about Tej Bhai and Nikki from Nishu. . . . and . . they are keeping things which is our right to know. . . मुझे लगा तुम्हे तकलीफ होगी जान कर . . . . And I did not want you to be hurt."

[ Translation : "I thought it would hurt you. . . And I did not want you to be hurt." ]

Rohan's words remind her of the elders' actions which hurted her so much but she is keeping her mouth shut and is still behaving normally with them, all just because it might cause a problem for her youngest cousin. A tear slips from her right eye and she wipes it putting her glass on the table making Rohan look up at her. He sighs and sits straight taking her hand. He kisses her palm and squeezes it saying softly, "I'm sorry. Please, don't cry."

"I'm not upset with you. Because I know you are doing what is best for Nishu. I understand." Gia says taking a deep breath looking at him.

"Then? Why are you upset with me?" Rohan asks frowning slightly caressing her hand with his other hand's thumb to calm her down.

Gia gulps and says looking at him, "It's just that . . Every time something happens, I'm left behind. My own family keeps things from me. And I don't like it even a bit. And when I found out that my boyfriend is doing the same. . . . I. . ." She sighs, "It hurts, Rohan."
