I smirked at the unconventional flirt tactic and found myself finding it rather cute.
B: 'Who dis? Jen? Leah! Oh no wait, I knoooow. It's Kay.'
I know I was poking at Freen's jealousy, but her reaction was always fun. I could hear her growling under her breath in my head.
F: 'Try again and you better be right this time or your band will be one less guitarist.'
My heart stopped. I know she was just joking around but it was the one thing I feared most - losing my band and my... My person, all in one go. However I knew... No matter what, it was already too late. Wouldn't it be better to try and make the best of it by striving for happiness, rather than live in fear of everything that might not even happen? I wanted the freedom to absorb Freen without fear. She could be my storm.
B: 'I can't believe I lost your number, Sarocha.' I chuckle as I listen to further disgruntled sounds in my mind. I'm so glad you found it for me...' I made sure to keep my voice low and sultry, letting her know I really was happy to be talking to her.
F: 'God, you're so full of yourself. If you want to flirt, just tell me, I'll give you a run for your money...'
B: 'It's not fun if the flirting is obvious.'
F: 'Well then I guess we had better say goodbye, mhmm?'
B: 'Oh? Is my game not strong enough for you? Is my swag a drag?'
I could hear Freen cackle in the back of my head, even though we were only texting. I have known her for almost half my life. I knew almost everything about her.
F: 'Oh no it's not that. I think your... Swag is... Very much an impressive specimen... I just meant that you said it's not fun when the flirting is too obvious and since we knew we were going to flirt with each other, it was no longer unpredictable. So I assumed we were done talking then.'
I scrunched my nose and frowned at the message. Freen sure had a lot to say over a simple subject. Quite the philosopher. Maybe the two of us could write some excellent songs together for the band.
B: 'Suuuure Sarochaaaa... So you're saying you don't want to talk to me anymore?'
I could hear the frustration grumble through Freen in my head again. She knew I had her in a corner. Does she relent or lose?
F: 'It depends...'
Ah, she chooses to play. Cat and mouse was always a favourite of mine...
B: 'Yeah...? On what, my dear?'
F: 'How good the sexting is...'
My heart jumped from my chest into my throat. I tried to swallow it down but it was quite stuck. How was Freen even well-versed with the activity?
B: 'Aren't you supposed to be studying or something? I mean, we can't have your blood and oxygen get stuck in your lap instead of your head!'
F: 'I'm taking a break, so my blood and my oxygen can go where they want...'
I could feel a shudder run down my spine as a sharp, pleasurable stab shot down to my stomach. Freen seemed set on seducing me and I couldn't stop the intense pulsing that rolled through me, as good as if she was touching me herself, though not quite...
B: 'Tell me... Where is your blood and your oxygen going right now..."
I started getting demanding. I wanted this before the game got cancelled by an unfortunate disruption.
F: 'Oh you know... A little south of the border - If you know what I mean.'
I stared at the winky face on the screen that came through with my last message. This girl keeps me on my toes and it's hot as hell. I had never met a girl that could match my wits. Maybe this one really could be different. Better. More compatible than with anyone else.
