Chapter 44. 'The Chaos of Little Lies.'

A tear rolls down Gia's left cheek as the real reason of her arrival reveals. Anshuman nears her. He side hugs her holding her hand making her gulp down as she comes to her senses. She nods as he squeezes her arm lightly to support her but she takes a sharp deep breath covering her mouth not believing the bitter truth. Arushi back hugs her friend who hugs her tightly as the duo cries softly. Anshuman licks his lips and looks at the wall behind Gia and Arushi with teary eyes and curses lowly, "Fu*k." He takes a deep breath not believing his ears.

"That's . . .That's unexpected!" Smriti mutters not believing as she rubs her face wiping her tears.

"But what's this promise?" Mrityunjay asks clearing his throat squeezing Vihaan's shoulder lightly which helps him to pull together. Vihaan gulps hardly as he blinks rapidly and looks up at Nishant clearing his throat. None could believe their ears. Kabir and Ariv look at each other and then at Anshuman who shakes his head looking back at them in disbelief while Rohan was looking at Gia softly while thinking about the kid, 'Why did you never utter a word then, Nishu?'

Nishant turns to Mrityunjay and shrugs saying casually, "I don't know. She never told me."

"You never asked?" Vihaan asks with the same empty voice going back to the main topic.

"Off course I did and I almost lost my life asking her that." Nishant says making a disgusting face earning chuckles. "I'm not kidding! Trust me, you guys wouldn't like to anger her if you see her anger once. She is getting irritated due to the medicines right now. But, she hardly gets angry. Her temper is very rare but when she does get mad then no one can stand to it. Her anger scares me a lot. I guess she picked it from your father and you." Nishant says making a face looking at Vihaan.

They chuckle and finally Vihaan smiles at the new info. He looks at the wooden table and remembers how she scolded him today. He chuckles again remembering that. None has the daring to talk to him like that and the way she scolded him with a right today, it somewhere fluttered his heart. Ariv nudges Anshuman who was coming to sit back. Anshuman looks at where Ariv was looking at, Vihaan. Anshuman blinks shockingly at his big brother and looks at Kabir and Rohan who too were looking at Vihaan as if he grew a third eye on his forehead. Anshuman then looks at his sister Gia whose mouth was hanging open with Arushi in shock as they look at Vihaan's smiling face. Taahira and Mrityunjay chuckle finding the shocked faces of their friends and youngsters at Vihaan's smiling face.

'Such an idiot brother!' Tej thinks chuckling at Vihaan's smiling face.

Nishant's lips twitch a bit seing this brother's reaction and he says chirpily, "But yeah, she gets angry only when it's worth it. She says, "खाली फोकट में मैं अपनी एनर्जी क्यूँ waste करूँ?" Fun fact: Nish knew well that Avni's end was near which was going to be very bad." They all chuckle at her smartness.

How Avni almost killed Nishi and Nikki, definitely shook Vihaan to the core of his heart and that's why he chose to destroy her all fake respect and kingdom which she made by fooling innocent people and cheating on him and his family. Abhishek being their attorney was trying his best along with Rohan's team to give the whole Chhabra family a life imprisonment.

"But I don't like the way she jumps in between to save others." They all turn to look at Gia who further says, "I mean helping and saving lives is a good deed for sure but she doesn't care for her own life even a bit and just jumps like a hero! Idiot!" Gia says frowning as she folds her hands being mad at her cousin who just came after a decade back to home and is already getting herself into danger.
