Alejandro is an old Colombian wealthy man, who lives in Las Vegas for so many years, he used to run a skydiving business in the nineties but his friend took over a few years ago cause of his age, he spends most of his time gambling at casinos, So, whenever he gets drunk, he tells stories about his life when he was younger while living inside the amazon rainforest fighting for FARC ( Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia) a guerrilla movement that fought for the rights of the poor in Colombia. He says " I've wasted twenty-seven years of my life, fighting for nothing".
One day, his Guerrilla group met Prospectors in Japura, a village in Brazil close to the Colombian border.

They saw Gold nuggets in everyone's hands, it sounds like everyone had more than enough for a living, and no need to fight for a better country, so in a few weeks he became a FARC dissident and moved to inside the Amazon rainforest with his wife. Alejandro worked helping pilots organize their flights in illegal Mining, like carrying heaving bags to the planes.
Maria José, a Colombian old woman, eighty years old, Lives in Japurá ( Brazil), near illegal mining since she left the guerrilla in 1985. She claims Javier, her husband disappeared from an illegal mining airstrip while working, she also says that he used to skydive in his free time, he was last seen on March 12, 1986, close to a Cessna 210 before taking off.

She Always carries an old pic of them in the jungle. She says both joined FARC at the age of 15, they didn't have a child cause it was forbidden inside the guerrilla.

Both became Farc members dissidents in 1985, to build their own homes and find peace for themselves, but less than one year Javier disappeared.
She feels lonely, she doesn't have a family member,so, she lives alone in an old straw shack and goes over a month without talking to a neighbor.
Unfortunately, she's a beggar on the main street, in front of a Bank, holding an old pic of them. Once she was asked about the guy in that pic, -"Isn't his name Alexandro" ?, No, she replied, his name is Javier, and he might be dead now! She screamed repeatedly in her native language: "LA PAZ NO ES O SILENCIO DE LAS ARMAS, LA PAZ NO ES O SILENCIO DE LAS ARMAS!"
We have to agree: Peace is equal rights for all individuals, access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity, and I'd like to add something. Beyond Peace, Maria José didn't find true love.
