The baby starts crying again and you look over to Dan. "What do you think she wants now?"
Dan shrugs. "I don't know, y/n. Maybe a fucking diaper change? Do I look like a psychic?"
You look away and walk towards the baby. Dan has been very uptight lately ever since the baby was born. You were scared that he was going to get so angry one day that he was going to leave you. A tear slips from your eye and you brush it away quickly. You feel Dan's arms wrap around your waist.
He puts his mouth against your ear and whispers, "I'm sorry. I don't mean to be yelling so much lately. I'm just so new to this. And I'm scared that I'm not a good dad."
You turn around to stare at him. "I'm new at this too. But it's ok. Because I think you're a wonderful dad!"
Dan smiles and reaches over to play with the baby.
"You think so?"
She coos at him and you laugh. "I think she answered you for me."
