"So we're just supposed to let people die because some algorithm-"

"Woah!"

"-says that's supposed to happen? You know how messed up that sounds right?!"

My eyes glanced at the spider people that started to form around us. I stared at Miguel and LYLA, shifting my body to face to them.

"You have the choice to save one person and save the entire world. Every world."

"I can do both! Spiderman always-"

"Not always."

Miles faced Peter with disbelief on his face. My eyes glazed at Peter as Miguel tried to place his hand on Miles's shoulder.

"Miles, we all want to have the life we wish had. Believe me, I have tried. And the harder I tried... the more damage I did. You can't have it all kid."

The teen's head then darted around, seeing that spider people surround him.

"Being Spiderman is a sacrifice. That's the job. That's what you signed up for."

"What is this? An invention or something?"

(yall invention is the wrong word and I don't know how to spell it i know-)

Miles then whipped his body to face me. I had a gentle expression on my face as my hands held close to my body as if trying to calm him.

"Is this why Peter came? To let me down easy?"

"Miles-"

I took one step forward.

He took one step back.

"It worked last time, why not run it back, huh?"

"Woah, hold on, hold on-"

Miles looked down at the ground, cutting me off.

"You were right Gwen. You should have never come to see me."

Gwen's eyes widened slightly as her breathing started to pick up. Tears immediately came to her eyes.

"Kid, look at me-"

"Stop calling me that."

His brown eyes glared up at Peter. Hobie's tongue kissed his tongue, his head tilting slightly.

"'ere we go."

"Hobie, you're not helping."

"Good."

I replied to Jess, moving my way to stand diagonal from Miguel. The man glanced at me as Miles turned away from me and Peter. The teen faced Miguel, the last look of plea was plastered on his face.

"You can't ask me not to save my dad."

"I'm not asking."

A screen cage landed at between Miles's feet and the red webbing wrapped itself around the teen's body. Gwen, Peter and Miguel voiced their concerns, all lapping over each other.

Miles slammed against, looking around frantically. Hobie held out his hands and mouthed, 'palms.' The boy looked at his palms that was pressed against the red webs then at me.

A small smile was plastered on my lips as my eyes edged him on to listen. Miles's lips slightly parted upon the realization that Hobie and I was helping him escape.
