(Saturday, 4:30PM, New Jersey)
"Melody!"
I run downstairs into Mom's office. "Yes, Mom?" I say. Mom grins at me. "Time for a Melody update. I look at the camera. I sit on Mom's lap. "Hey guys! It's time for a Melody update." I say, grinning. Mom laughs. "I'm now 15! My birthday was the 6th of May!" I say. I look at Mom. "I'm starting 9th Grade this September! That's really exciting!" I grin. Mom smiles. "She's growing wonderfully, guys! She's doing really well in her new school, as well. She does miss Riley and Leo, but unfortunately we can't move LA! It would be too much for our family to deal with!" Mom says to the camera. "But I'm okay with that, though! I do like my school!" I say. Mom hugs me tightly. "Okay, well that's it for the Melody update! Back to my video!" Mom says. I wave goodbye, leaving Mom and walking back up from the basement.
I run upstairs and open my dad's office door. Dad turns around. "Hi, pumpkin!" He says, hugging me tightly. "Hi, Dad!" I say. Dexter, our German Shepherd, pads into the room. "Hey, Dexter." I say, stroking his ears. Dexter barks, making me giggle. "What are we having for dinner, Dad?" I ask, playing with Dexter's ears. "Pizza, I think." He says. I nod. Dad turns around and looks at me. "Wanna play some video games?" He asks. I nod, racing him downstairs.
