"The NWU, or New World Union, is technically a type 6.9 [nice] civilization, following the measurements and specifics of the Kardashev Scale, meaning energy usage. Type 4 normally though means that this civilization has completely overtaken its universe, and is now expanding into other universes, which better fits the New World Union. Its territory consists of all objects, planets, locations, megastructures, and empty space in its universe, dubbed U-124-B. It shares no border with any nation, federation, or otherwise external group in its home universe, having overtaken it completely. With a population of 144 octovigintillion (or 144 OcVg) and exponentially rising, it stands as possibly the most populous civilization in this realm of existence[?], although single-form civilizations consisting of one god-like entity don't and really shouldn't count as a civilization. For very obvious reasons, it stands as the most populated civilization in its universe, freedom, individualism, equity, and peace being foremost in their society and values seen as some of the most important among others.

It has two capitals, Astera and Seliana. These two also serve as its largest financial hubs and centers. The landmasses upon which their capitals are located were only populated by small creatures known as GKs, which were thankfully peacefully integrated into the NWU's population. Except not all of them, certain populations had begun revolting. These small fractured groups were restricted to guerilla warfare, which the NWU had become proficient at in the aftermath of a war spanning the continent. This war, known as the New World Civil War, or FNWW (First New World War) lasted for several years until the signing of a treaty which ended the war. Slowly, the NWU began to annex the other territories, having formed in the wake of Astera's victory.

After this war, several time-traveling people who had arrived earlier now agreed to share their advanced technology with the newly-formed NWU. This immediately propelled them to 2100s level technology, in the year of their calendar 0. By their year 1100, they established themselves across the galaxy, thanks to their use of revolutionary nanometals, the compounds and alloys descended from them, and their usage of G-Cell power supply, which essentially behaves very similarly to nuclear power but won't cause explosions unless put through a very rigorous and complex activation procedure and is far improved compared to fusion, nuclear, and even solar energy as a power source, and is known as possibly the most powerful and cleanest energy source in all of existence.

The NWU is a constitutional elected monarchy – though its elected nature makes it seem more like a federal republic, which it teeters on the edge of becoming. It utilizes several stop-gap though now upgraded perennial measures to avoid corrupt leadership – though these are classified specifically by the emperor's request, and the nation has great living standards, a well-performing economy and a rather high GDP per capita. It also has a comparatively stellar [haha funny pun lololol] sentient being rights record, and incredible amounts of innovation as well. It has abysmally low levels of corruption and also has an effective all-around universal free healthcare for its citizens. Being shaped by its advanced technology and its drive to enhance and export it as well as its rather Capitalist ideology, the nation lacks a state religion – though it is tolerant of other religions, the New World Union however focusing solely on science. In terms of education, the amount of topics and sciences available to learn are unparalleled, and it is also commonplace to simply upload/inject/transmit information into one's brain, which even includes things that are normally acquired through routines and rituals, and cybernetic implants colloquially known as cyberware are also very prevalent in the country, with 100% of the population having varying levels of implants, on top of already existing enhancing genetic engineering.

Technology within the nation flourishes openly, as due to the nation's focus on science, technology goes hand in hand with it, supporting and complementing its scientific advancements. Many freelance and government-serving inventors invent incredible things at massive scales very frequently, and even those who are freelance are still usually paid by the government and shown as an example of the bright minds of the New World Union. However, there are certain laws around technology, such as the high illegality of sentient and sapient artificial intelligence, which, if someone is discovered to harbor it, is subject to long prison sentences, and amnestics were at one point given to the population en masse to prevent the potential rise of sentient and sapient AI, though it has frequently arisen again and again in works of fiction. Some inventions, such as the invention of the New World Union's modern toilet system, are credited not to megacorporations, but to a freelance inventor who simply shared their idea with the government and was approved.
