The Chimera wanted to help Liam, but he didn't know how. He just tried to comfort the beta, making jokes and talking about some everyday things. It worked little bit, because Liam's anxiety started to disapear a little bit.
Liam was falling asleep with his head against the window. Theo noticed that Liam's heart was slowing a bit down, so he looked at the boy next to him, just to find him asleep. He chuckled and smiled before turning his head on the road again.
'Hey, Li. Wake up.' Theo said softly when they arrived at Liam's house. Theo nudged the boy for the third time. You would think that Liam was dead or something, because he didn't move one bit.
'Liam!' Theo yelled again. 'Ah, what?! Where is Tara?' Liam asked as he finally shot his eyes open. Liam thought that Tara was out to get the two boys. He was always on high alert when someone woke him up. 'Everything's fine, we're at your house, so you're coming out or sleep in the car?' Theo smiled softly. He was now at the door of the passenger's side of the truck. Liam yawned dramatically and rubbed his eyes. 'I'm so tired.' Liam whined. Theo chuckled lightly.
Liam finally got out of the truck and yawned again. He opened the front door. Liam held his head in pain, but shook it as if his head wasn't hurting like crazy. 'I'll see you tomorrow.' Theo said before he got in the car. He already saw Liam holding his head in pain, but he didn't know how to help and if he asked about it again, Liam would probably mad him. So he let it slight, but just for now. 'Bye, see ya tomorrow.' Liam said with raspy and quiet voice.
Liam went inside quietly as it was already midnight or later. He didn't want to wake up his parents, so he tip toed on the stairs, hoping none of them would creak, and to his room. He grabbed himself some pajama pants and a shirt that was actually a size or two too big for him, but he like that. Liam didn't even bother brushing his teeth. As soon as he hit the pillow with his head, he fell asleep.
The reason Theo wasn't already asleep in Liam's room, was because he wanted to go to Tara's grave and tell her how sorry he was for everything he'd done. After that he went to his parents' grave. He said his last goodbye to them and went back to Liam's house.
When he got there and tried to open the door, it was locked. Theo searched around the house for any way to get inside without waking Liam up. The Chimera finally found a way; he climbed up to a roof under Liam's window, opened it as quiet as possible and went inside, but he pants stuck to a sharp piece on the window frame and fell inside the younger boy's bedroom with dull thump.
Liam jolted awake with widened eyes. 'The fuck?!' Liam yelled, he looked around to find the taller boy lay on the ground painfully. 'Theo? What the Hell were you doing?' Liam asked in a whisper. He was sure his parents must've heard something. 'I was trying to come inside your room.' Theo said annoyed. 'I have a front door you know?' Liam said as he glared at Theo. 'It was locked.' The Chimera said with a grunt as he stood up. 'Fuck, sorry my fault.' Liam apologized, scratching the back of his head and shoved himself until he was leaning with his back against the head board. Theo chuckled.
'What's so funny?' Liam asked confusion written on his face. 'Nothing, sorry.' Theo said with a shrug.
'So, I don't really have an extra bed or anything and I'm too lazy to grab the extra mattress from under the bed, so eh-' 'You want me to grab it, so you can sleep?' Liam nodded at Theo's question.
Theo pulled the mattress from under the bed as Liam watched him.
'Y'know, I never thought I would ever sleep anywhere but my car.' Theo sniggered. 'You're welcome.' Liam laughed before he lied down again. Theo had placed the mattress next to the window. 'Blankets are in the closet with a pair of pajama pants.' Liam mumbled tiredly in his pillow. 'Thanks.' Theo said as he walked over to the wooden closet. He opened the doors and searched for the blankets. When he found them after a few minutes, he grabbed them and threw the blankets on the mattress. Theo changed into the pajama pants and flopped down on the mattress as he made himself comfortable. 'Thanks.' Theo said again. He looked up for a moment and noticed that Liam had already fallen asleep. He smiled at the younger boy before he went to bed and sleep himself.
The following day was Liam waking up from a nightmare; he watched Theo die in front of him, getting killed by Tara. He woke up screaming and Theo didn't understand why, but despite not knowing what to do, he came up to Liam and hugged him while Liam was crying in his shoulder.
'What happened?' Theo asked softly, confusion written on his face. Liam sniffled, not answering the question, just crying.
After a few minutes of Theo rubbing Liams back in a comforting manner, Liam looked up at Theo with red puffy eyes as he sniffled once more before he spoke; 'y-you can't go. Please?' 'I don't have a choice, Baby Wolf.' Theo said with a saddened expression. 'What happened?' The Chimera asked. 'I- I watched you die, right in front of me. Tara ki-' Liam stopped and buried his face in Theo's chest. 'It was just a dream right? Don't worry.' Theo comforted the boy. The older boy felt his chest getting wet from Liam's tears.
'I can't lose you, Theo, I-I can't handle that. Y-you're my anchor. I would lose control and what if I kill someone, because I lose control. What if I attack Scott and the pack? Don't go.' Liam ranted. 'You won't lose control, you're so strong. You would never kill someone or attack the pack.' Theo replied with a soft and quiet voice. He stroke his hand through the boy's hair. 'I already attacked the pack once and almost killed Scott. Who says I won't do it again?' 'Me. I say so. You won't kill anyone or attack someone you care about.' The older boy stood up and helped Liam up to get breakfast.
'I'm not hungry.' Was all Liam said before he flopped onto his bed again. 'C'mon, you need to eat.' 'I don't. I'm not hungry.' Liam threw his blanket over his head. 'Okay.' Theo said as he walked outside Liam's bedroom and walked downstairs.
Theo was met by Mrs Geyer and Mr Geyer. 'Hello, dear. Liam didn't tell me someone was coming over.' Mrs Geyer said. 'Oh, yeah, I'm sorry Mrs Dunbar. I'll be staying here for just today and then I'm leaving.' Theo answered. 'Mrs Geyer, but you can call me Jenna.' The woman corrected Theo as she grabbed a cup of coffee for him. 'What's your name?' Mr Geyer asked. 'Theo, Theo Reaken.' Theo answered. The man extended his hand and Theo shook it. 'Nice to meet you.' The man said. 'Could you get Liam for me? We need to make sure he eats.' Liam's mother asked.
Theo did as asked with the thought that kept swarming in his head; what did she mean with 'we need to make sure he eats'? He shook the thought away when he was at Liam's bed and dragged him out of bed. Liam struggled against Theo for a while, but Theo reluctantly got him out of bed and downstairs at the breakfast table.
'So, are you two together?' Liam's mother asked the boys. 'Wai-wait what?' Liam asked shockingly. His face turned completely red, but Theo spoke up and saved the werewolf; 'no, we're just friends. I was sleeping in my car, so he volunteered to let me sleep at your house for the time being, but I already found a new apartment, so I'll be outta here today.' Theo explained calmly. He could smell Liam's anxiety reeking off of him. The taller boy grabbed the other boy's hand to comfort him. Liam's anxiety level decreased.
Mr Geyer nodded in understanding. 'Well, you are always welcome here.' Jenna spoke with a soft smile on her face. Theo smiled back. She walked into the kitchen en grabbed the pan with eggs, placed it on the table and walked back to the kitchen to grab the pan with bacon and a plate with toast on it. She placed them on the table and sat down again.
'What would you say if we invited you to dinner next week? Just text Liam what you like for dinner.' Jenna suggested. Theo didn't really know what to say, because he would be gone by tonight. He couldn't promise to got to dinner next week. 'That eh, that would be really nice, Ms Ge- eh, Jenna.' Theo smiled at her halfheartedly. 'Thanks.' He added.
'Honey, you've been really quiet and you haven't eaten anything yet. Is everything okay?' Jenna asked. She didn't get an answer back from her son. She noticed that Liam was staring outside the window. 'Liam?' She asked again. Still no answer.
Theo shook his shoulder lightly in order to get a response from the boy next to him. 'Hey, Li?' Theo asked. 'Hm?' Liam finally replied. 'Your mother asked if you were okay since you are so quiet and haven't touched your food.' The Chimera said as he look at Liam. 'Oh yeah, I'm perfectly fine, mom.' Liam lied to his mother. Theo heard his heartbeat skip but didn't say anything about it. He just squeezed his and a bit as a sign to be honest, but Liam ignored it and pulled his own hand away from Theo's...
