Liam woke up to a dozen of calls. He looked around to check his surroundings, he then remembered that he fell asleep with Theo, because he needed some company.
Liam grabbed his phone out of his jean pocket and looked at the caller's ID's; Mason, Corey and Nolan. Liam opened the door of the car trying not to wake up Theo.
'Hey, Mase, what's up?' Liam asked casually. ''What's up'? Dude! We had a freaking History exam 2 hours ago!' Mason yeled through the phone. 'What?! Shit! I-I'll see you in a few.' Liam quickly hung up the phone and turned around; Theo was already awake and looked at the boy guiltily.
'G'morning, T. Slept well?' Liam tried to remain calm, but Theo knew better; he knew that Liam was late for his History exam. The taller boy felt guilty for keeping him here. 'I'm sorry, Liam.' Theo apologized. 'For what?' Liam asked. The brown-haired boy got out of the car. The two were inches apart from each other now. 'For making you miss your exam.' Theo said. 'It's not your fault, Theo. I just forgot about it.' Liam smiled, he still smelled the guilt on Theo. 'I just feel really bad for making you miss that History exam.' The Chimera spoke. 'Hey, it's fine. I can just say that I was sick or something and retake it.' Liam put a hand on Theo's shoulder. He then pulled him into a hug. Theo hesitated to hug back; it's been so long since he had a hug. He needed it. It was all he needed, actually.
Theo buried his face in the crook of Liam's neck. After a few minutes, the two pulled away. 'Thanks.' Theo said with watery eyes. Liam just smiled gently. Liam already had a feeling that Theo just needed a hug.
'You need a ride to school?' Theo asked. 'No, I think I just stay here with you. I don't feel like going to school.' Liam shrugged. 'But don't you have any other exams?' Theo asked. 'No, not really. Just some lessons I don't really care about.' Liam carelessly. Theo didn't argue with the younger boy, because he really needed some company.
Theo and Liam went for a drive. They had lots of fun. The Chimera had never looked as happy as then. 'Soooo... truth or dare?' Liam asked teasingly. 'What?' Theo had his eyes on the road still, but he had a confused look on his face. 'Truth or dare?' The younger chuckled. 'Eh, dare.' 'Eh... I dare you to... to drink one shot of Whiskey with Wolfsbane of course.' Liam grinned. 'Liam, I don't think that's a good idea. I mean we have to find and defeat my sister.' Theo looked at the boy next to him for a moment with concern before focusing on the road again. 'Truth than.' Liam said quickly. Theo nodded. 'Be honest, okay?' Liam asked before asking the truth question. 'Mhm.' Theo said. 'Would you like to sleep over at my house? Just for a while until you find your own place.' Liam asked with a smile. 'Eh- y-you're serious?' 'As serious as I can ever be.' 'Really?' 'Yup.' 'Then y-yes, sure.'
Theo was so happy that he forgot about the fact that he was driving and almost drove into a lantern pole. 'THEO!' Liam yelled in time to dodge the pole. Theo quickly turned the steering wheel and almost burst out laughing. 'What's so funny? We almost died!' Liam said. 'No-nothing.' Theo tried to hide his smile, but it was hard. 'Sorry.' Theo chuckled. 'It's okay, T.' Liam smiled.
'Wait, stop here.' Liam said. They stopped at the edge of the woods. Liam and Theo got out of the truck and went to a nearby lake. The lake had a few rocks on, so Liam had a crazy idea. He grabbed Theo's arm and dragged him on the rocks. 'Liam! What're you doing?!' Theo laughed in surprise as he tried to balance on the stones. 'C'mon!' liam laughed. They balanced on the rocks; Theo most of the time stumbled on them and almost fell a few times. Theo landed with one foot in the water; 'ah shit!' He yelled. 'Don't worry, it'll dry soon. It's warm and sunny outside.' Liam said. Theo just smiled.
When they were on the other side of the lake, Liam got another call; 'Scott? Hey, what can I help you with?'
'Hey, Liam. Are you okay?'
'Yeah why?'
'Mason said you weren't at school today. He's worried about you, and me too, honestly.'
'Oh, yeah no, I'm totally fine.'
'Okay, great. We have a pack meeting again tonight at 5. We need a plan to capture Tara.'
'All right. See you then, Scott.'
'Bye, Liam.'
'Bye!'
Scott hung up the phone and Liam got back to Theo. He was still stumbling on the last two rocks. Liam reached out his hand and Theo took it just in time before he almost fell into the river. Theo fell forward and onto Liam. Theo blushed and quickly got up. He helped Liam up as well. 'S-sorry.' The Chimera said. 'Hey, it's okay, Theo.' Liam smiled.
