The two walked for a bit longer and kept joking around.
Quickly Liam's phone rang again, not a call, but his alarm, telling them they had only 30 minutes to get at Scott's in time. 'T, we only have half an hour to be at the McCall house.' Liam told Theo. 'Let's go then, I know a shortcut.' The Chimera said with a smirk. 'You have that smirk on your face, should I trust you on this?' Liam chuckled. 'Totally.' Theo said. Liam nodded.
The two took Theo's shortcut and arrived at the truck in 14 minutes. 'Yes, we finally made it.' Liam panted out. Theo chuckled. 'You look exhausted, Little Wolf.' ''Cause I am.' Liam said as he jumped into the passenger's seat of the truck. Theo also jumped in the driver's seat. They both sighed and looked at each other.
The two said for a few minutes in silence before Theo started the car. They were at Scott's in 10 minutes.
Liam knocked on the door and Scott opened it a few moments later. 'Hey Liam, Theo.' Scott said. 'Hey, Scott.' Liam said. Theo stayed quiet. 'How are you?' The alpha asked. 'I'm doing great. You?' Liam asked. 'I'm doing fi-' Scott got interrupted by Stiles; 'Wait. Why did you two arive together?' He was referring to Theo and Liam. 'We eh-' Liam wanted to answer , but didn't know what to answer, so Theo interrupted; 'I asked if he needed a ride and he said yes.' 'Okay? Sure.' Stiles looked skeptical. Theo rolled his eyes and looked away. He went to the kitchen en stayed there for a while.
'So, do you guys have a plan for defeating Tara?' Liam asked as he sat down on the couch. 'Not really, but we're working on it.' Scott responded. 'We think if we trap Tara in Hell again, everything will be okay.' Stiles started. 'But we need someone to be dragged away with her, because Hell is supposed to consist out of the protector of Hell and someone to suffer.' Lydia said with a concerned expression on her face. 'If we don't have both of them soon, Hell will be out of control and start making our world Hell slowly.' Stiles said in all seriousness.
'I can do it.' Theo came out of the kitchen. 'W-what?' Liam turned to face the Chimera. 'I can go back to Hell.' The boy spoke again. 'What? No!' Liam yelled at Theo. He stood up and went up to the Chimera and looked into his eyes. 'I have to, Li.' Theo said calmly. 'You don't!' The younger boy yelled again. 'So how can we catch her, trap me with her again and save Beacon Hills?' Theo asked. 'I think if we lure Tara to the tunnels of the Dread Doctors, stab the sword in the ground, push you and Tara in the hole, Beacon Hills is save again.' Stiles said in a neutral voice.
Liam held up his hand and didn't say anything, Theo knew Liam wanted the car key, so he gave it to them. Theo smiled apologetically. The younger boy just walked out of the house and into Theo's truck. He turned on the music as loud as possible, so he wouldn't hear anything about Theo's suicide plan. The werewolf leaned his head on the steering wheel in defeat. It was impossible to change Theo's mind. What could he do?
The boy sat in the car for about 30 minutes as his eyes were closed, enjoying the music. He suddenly heard a knock on the window. Liam got startled and looked aside of him; Theo. 'Leave me alone, Theo!' Liam said angrily. He crossed his arms after he locked the car. 'C'mon, Li.' Theo said with a concerned look on his face. 'Please?' The Chimera asked. Liam finally opened the door and let Theo in.
'Liam, I'm sorry, I really am, but it's the only way. I don't have a choice.'
'You always have a choice!'
'Not this time. I have to do this.'
'If you think this is to prove yourself, so the pack will finally trust you, it's a stupid thought.'
'It's not to prove myself. It's to protect you and your friends.'
'Why?'
'Because I care about you, and the pack cares about you. I need you to be save. They need you to be save.'
'I don't care if I'm save or not! I can take care of myself, I don't need you to sacrifice yourself for me. I need you here, not in Hell.'
Liam looked sad and anxiously at Theo. Theo just smiled at the younger boy next to him. They sat in the car for a few more minutes before getting out again and walking into the house.
'Liam, are you okay?' Scott asked. Liam ignored him and walked past him. 'What did I do wrong to you?' Scott asked confused. Theo walked over to the boy sitting on the couch and sat next him. Liam still didn't say anything, just crossing his arms against his chest. 'Please talk to me.' The alpha said. 'Fine! You wanna know what you did to me? You made Theo wanna sacrifice himself!' Liam felt the anger boiling up inside of him, his claws forming and fangs gritting. 'Liam, please, calm down. We can't use this anger right now.' Scott said as calm as possible. 'Don't tell me what to do!' Liam yelled.
All of the sudden, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and looked right into Theo's eyes. For a second he was lost and didn't know his surroundings. Liam shook his head, remembering he was at Scott's house, being mad at his alpha. Liam didn't realize his eyes turned to normal, and claws and fangs retracted. Scott looked at the the interaction between the two and realized something; Theo was Liam's anchor, and Liam Theo's.
'Liam, I'm sorry, but this wa-' Scott started. 'Shut up, I really don't wanna talk to you right now.' Liam said as calm as possible. Scott nodded and went to the armchair.
The pack discussed the plan further, but Liam didn't want to hear any of it, because he knew whatever happened, Theo would sacrifice himself.
It was getting late and everyone had agreed to trap Tara the next day, except for Liam. He was completely lost in thought and didn't even notice that everyone was leaving; Scott left to go to bed, he knew Liam would lock his house behind him anyway. 'Hey, you're coming?' Theo asked. 'Liam? Hello? Are you okay?' The Chimera asked again. 'Liam?' 'Huh, what? Oh sorry T. What did you say?' Liam asked as he finally got out of his trance. 'I asked if we should go home.' 'Y-yeah of course, sorry.' Liam apologized. 'It's okay, can we go to Deaton's first? I need to ask him something.' Theo said. Liam nodded and got up from the couch.
The two drove to Deaton's animal clinic and walked in. 'Deaton? You're still up?' Theo asked. 'What are you guys doing at this hour? Shouldn't you go to bed or something?' Deaton asked. 'We just came back from a pack meeting, but I have an important question.' Theo said honestly. 'Okay, ask.' Deaton said in a monotone. 'What do you know about Hell? Do you know what happens when Hell is open for too long and starts existing in this world?' Theo asked quickly. 'I don't know much about it, but I have a few books about Hell, give me a second.' Deaton spoke. He then went to his office and grabbed a few books from a shelve.
Liam had grabbed Theo's hand without even noticing what he was doing. It was because of the nerves and anxiousness. The Chimera had already noticed that Liam had grabbed his hand, but he didn't struggle against it. He slightly blushed before shaking his head, because Deaton came in. 'Here you go.' Deaton handed Theo three books; 'Gehenna' (Latin for Hell), 'What Hell does to you' and 'Everything you need to know about Hell'. 'I also have the Bestiary with me, maybe that helps.' Deaton walked back into the office and came back again.
Theo also grabbed that book and placed all of the books on the table. He opened the first one; Everything you need to know about Hell. He found a page that said; 'What happens if Hell doesn't have a guardian and someone suffering'. Theo traced his finger on the pages. 'Here.' Theo said as he pointed at one paragraph; 'it says; when the guardian and the one suffering escapes and they don't go back immediately, you don't have much time to put them back in the ground before Hell transfers to the real world. But if you go in and you die, you stay dead. That's the price you pay for being out too long. If the suffered one's dead, Hell is calm and stays that way. Nothing will happen again.' Theo spoke. Liam was shocked. He didn't want Theo to die and never coming back.
'Thanks, D. That's all I needed to know.' Theo said. He handed the book back to Deaton and went outside with Liam still holding his hand, even tighter then before. 'Theo, you can't do this!' Liam said to Theo when they were ouside. 'Yes, I can. No one else but me should be in Hell.' Theo said. 'But if you die, you stay dead.' Liam stated. 'But it's better then having to repeat my nightmare over and over again.' The Chimera said honestly. He never really talked about his nightmares, Liam only thought and knew that the nightmares were probably about Tara. That's it, he didn't know more and he hated it.
'But I will have to miss you then, I don't think I can handle that...'
