Chapter- 24 Dinner

Start from the beginning

"Ah... little hearts", she roared and ran to a shelf full of little heart packs (Britannia little hearts biscuits), leaving the cart to Arnav. Her squeal of happiness shocked him as she took all the packets into her hands like an obsessed kid.

"Do you like little hearts that much?" he asked, amused as he reached her.

"Little hearts are love... I will do anything as long as you buy it for me...", she replied, putting the packs in the cart.

"Anything...?" he asked.

"Anything", she answered. "Wait... You don't ask me to jump from the cliff, right?"

"No", he chuckled.

"Then what?"

"You just have to believe me... And listen to my explanation when it needed", he remarked as he pinched her nose and started walking forward pushing the cart.

They did grocery shopping and went to Naina's house. Ajay also joined them shortly after.

Pooja is in charge of cooking while they all help her with vegetables and all.

"How about having dinner and drinks on the terrace? It will be fun", Naina chirped while washing vegetables.

"Yeah, good idea", Pooja agreed immediately.

"But for that you have to convince the house owner otherwise he will make a fuss", Payal commented while the men listened to their conversation.

"Don't worry, we have Naina. She will convince him, what say Goldie?" Pooja remarked, winking at Naina.

"Of course," Naina said, cooking a plan in her head.

"Why won't they agree to having drinks on the terrace?", Ajay asked.

"Are you dumb on purpose?", Pooja remarked slyly. "This is India, and this building is the personal property of an orthodox family. Anyway, who will agree with girls to have a drink making a fuss after drinking, not our owner", Pooja said.

"But we have Nain, she can convince them. She got the talent in that", Payal remarked praising Naina.

"Why can only she convince them?" Ajay questioned.

"Because they never listen to us and this sweet devil can make them listen to her. It's her talent to talk to everyone and make them agree with her", Pooja remarked, acting dramatic.

"How?" Arnav asked.

"You will see, come", Pooja said and took Arnav down to the floor where owners live and settled at the window to see how she convince them.

Naina knocked on the door and entered when the House owner's wife opened the door.

"Aunty, how are you?" she chirped cheerfully and hugged her.

"I am good, Nain. What brings you here today", she asked as she walked to the kitchen.

"I just want to see my aunt", Naina replied as she made her way to the kitchen.

"Tell me what's the matter. I know you won't come just to see me" Aunt narrowed her eyes.

"I came to share a Goodnews with you", Naina said excitedly.

"What is it?", aunt asked curiously.

"My book got selected by a publishing house. See I bring you a freshly baked cake to celebrate", she said as she forwards a box to her.

"Congratulations, dear. I am happy for you", Aunt yelled happily.

"Come on, have a bite", Naina opened the cake box and took a piece from the box and shoved it in her mouth.
