Madiha nodded in agreement. "And everyone moves on at their own pace. Don't feel like you have to rush it."

"I know, but it's just so hard," I said, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of my emotions. "Every time I think I'm doing better, something reminds me of her, and I just can't stop thinking about her."

Nima gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. "Maybe it's time to reach out to her. See how she's doing and if there's a chance for you two to talk things out?"

I shook my head. "I don't know if I'm ready for that. What if she's completely moved on and I'm still here stuck in the past?"

"It's just hard, you know?" I said, wiping the tears away. "I thought moving to Berlin would help me forget her and start over, I thought dating again would do the trick, but it feels like I'm stuck in the same place."

Madiha spoke up, her voice gentle and understanding. "You don't have to forget about Erynn, Saffron. You just have to learn to live without her. Focus on the things that make you happy, and eventually, things will fall into place."

It was easier said than done, but I knew that they were right. I couldn't spend the rest of my life pining after someone who was no longer a part of it. I had to find a way to let go and move forward.

Nima and Madiha both gave me hugs, assuring me that they were always there for me, no matter what.

Madiha added, "And who knows, maybe one day you guys will cross paths again. But for now, you have to focus on yourself and your own happiness."

Their words were hard to hear, but I knew they were right. And I was grateful for their support, I have to find a way to move on.

It wouldn't be easy, but I was willing to put in the effort. For myself, for my future, and for a chance at happiness once more.

Nima's POV:

I sat on my bed inside Saffron's guest room with my phone pressed against my ear, listening as Caoimhe spoke on the other end about our plan and how it had failed.

"I don't understand what went wrong. I thought if you could subtly suggest she reach out to Rynn, she'd go back home." Caoimhe said, her voice sounding defeated.

"I know, baby. I thought it would work too," I replied, feeling deflated. "Maybe I didn't push her hard enough?"

"Or Maybe we should try a different approach." Caoimhe said

I paused, considering her words. "Like what?"

"Maybe you should just tell Saffron the truth," Caoimhe suggested. "That Erynn is really sorry and wants to talk to her. No more subtle hints or nudges. Just be direct. I feel like you were being too subtle and it just backfired."

I chewed on my bottom lip, mulling over Caoimhe's suggestion. "It's risky," I said finally. "Saffron might just shut down and refuse to listen."

"Oh yeah, I forgot how stubborn she can be." Caoimhe replied.

I let out a sigh, feeling guilty for not being able to get Saffron to see reason. "I just wish there was something more I could do. Saffron deserves to be happy, with or without Erynn."

"I know, Nima. But we both know that she's not going to be truly happy until she's back with Erynn. The two of them are meant to be together," Caoimhe said softly.

I couldn't deny that. Those two were meant to be together. It was heartbreaking to see them torn apart like this. And I knew that if I were in Saffron's position, I would want my friends to do everything in their power to help me. But now, with the distance and the misunderstandings between them, it seemed like they might never get back together.
