Brielle wasnt good at forgiveness. It takes a lot for her to forgive someone but in Clays favour, she was good at being nice and civil. thats all that clay needed to be in the spot that hes in.
she had let her mom know that clay was in-fact coming to dinner tonight and now all she needed to do was pick the girls up and head over to her moms house
"mommy guess what" Makenzie yelled across the car even though they were literally in arms reach from each other
"what baby"
"we got popsicles in class today"
"really? you guys are lucky"
"yeah it was for Samuels birthday"
"did you wish him a happy birthday"
"yes mommy we all sang him happy birthday"
"thats nice of you"
"i want to go see the kitty cat" Makayla wined to go to clays
"you're going to see him at Nanas and Papas. you can see the cat another time"
"but i want to see her now. he promised us"
"Kayla i cant control what he says but will you please stop wining. the cat can wait a day while we go see your grandparents" Brielle said as she started to get a huge headache from the two of them constantly wining about going to clays even though they are literally going to see him in not even 5 minutes
she huffed and crossed her arms to show that she was annoyed at her mom.
"theres my favourite grand children" Brielle's mom said walking out to the car when they got there
"their your only grand children" Brielle said confused as she parked the car and unbuckled her seatbelt
"Im sorry but i dont remember there being a law saying its illegal for a sweet grandmother to love her beautiful grandchildren" she replied sarcastically as she unbuckled the kids out of their car seat
Her mom got Kenzie out of the car from the passenger side and Brielle got Kayla out of the car from the driver side.
Kayla, still being mad at her mom because of the cat situation, stormed off into the house without saying anything
"whats up with miss grumpy pants" her mom asked
"she's mad because she isn't with clays cat right now. apparently he promised her" Brielle explained and her mom just nodded
"speaking of him looks like he actually showed up on time" Brielle said as she watched clay park his car
"Kenzie go in with nana. ill be right there" she took Kenzie's hand and they walked into the house. Brielle walked over to his car and clay got out
"hey" he said
"hi" she replied
"um do you mind giving me a hand. i got some stuff to bring in"
"you didnt need to bring anything clay"
"i know but after everything that happened i thought it was the least i could do for your parents" he said as he lifted out a bunch of drinks
