The next morning Haley woke up before Evenly to get ready for work and get breakfast for them. It was the first day at a new school for evenly after making breakfast haley went back upstairs to wake up her daughter "Evenly it's time to get up and get ready for school" Evenly groaned as she rolled out of bed " Good morning Momma" " She hugged her mother and smiled , haley smiled and hugged her back "good morning babygirl breakfast is waiting downstairs once your done getting ready come on down" She kissed her daughters cheek as she went downstairs to get clean up the mess she had made in the kitchen. Evenly took a shower and got dressed coming down ten minutes. Later she sat at the island and smiled as she started to it. Haley smiled and took a sip of her coffee " don't forget after school today your going to the ranch to hang out with your dad" Evenly smiled as she finished eating and cleaned up her dishes " Okay Momma and I'll leave my stuff in the office with you" Haley nodded as she grabbed her bag and there lunches " Sounds like a plan you ready for the first day?" Evelyn put her back pack on and nodded " a little nervous but yes" Haley smiled as they both walked out the door and got into there car heading towards the school

Kayce stepped out of the house as he looked out on the ranch before walking out to his truck got in and headed towards the office. He sighed as he thought back on everything that transpired over the last couple of days from haley coming back to the divorce from monica to finding out him and haley had a daughter. More importantly how was he going to tell Tate about Evelyn being his sister pulling up to the office her parked the car resting his head back against the seat, what was he going to do about haley. They have been through so much through there life but keeping a secret like his from him for so long he didn't know how long it would take him to forgive her, getting out of the car he headed inside to start his day. Also hoping that the day went by fast so he can see his daughter

Haley never thought she would be a principle at her old middle school, it was weird to her since some of the teachers still there use to teach her and her brothers and the dutton's. After morning announcements and working on a few things it was time for lunch sitting back at her desk picking up her phone she called Ashton, there was one thing she wanted to do another tradition the dutton's, Bennett's and wheeler's use to do a Fire pit at Haley's house the problem was she wasn't sure if Kayce would come specially if Haley was the one to invitee him. Hearing Ashton finally answer haley shook her head" Finally you answer" Ashton laughed as she spun around in her chair at her office " well you know i work to and i wasn't;t expecting a call from you" Haley laughed and smiled " well I'm on break and i have an idea but I'm going to need your help" Ashton smiled through the phone and sat up in her chair "well it depends what it is" Haley shook her head " I want to have our annual fire pit but the problem is that there's one Dutton that might not go which is fine i just wanted to know if you could help" Ashton smiled" I will work on it and get back to you" Haley took a sip of her water and leaned back in her chair"Perfect i will wait to hear back from you" They both said goodbye as they hung up

Kayce was working on paperwork when he heard a knock on the door looking up he saw Monica at the door and smiled softly " Hey Monica" Monica smiled as she walked over and sit in one of the chairs in front of his desk " hey kayce i just wanted to check in to see how you were doing" Kayce placed the pen down on his desk as he leaned back in the chair "Well being back at the ranch is great, I found out that me and Haley have a daughter together she's Tate's age" he looked at Monica" Also i don't know how to tell Tate about that and then our divorce papers came in" Monica looked down at her hands taking it all in " You have a daughter?" She asked him looking at him "Tate might take the news well, if you want we both can stop by later on or tomorrow to sign the papers and you can tell tate" Kayce nodded " That sounds like a good idea gives me a little more time to get my thoughts together" He sat up in his chair "Yes me and haley have a daughter named Evenly, the night she found out she was pregnant haley had left that night because she was scared of me giving up my dream off being in the military and i just don't know how or when i can forgive her"Monica tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear " Kayce I've known both of you since high school, and I've seen you guys fight and everything you guys always made up even if it takes a while" Kayce smiled a little " that is true and Monica i really am sorry about everything" Monica smiled as she stood up " Kayce it's okay the heart wants what the heart wants, Me and tate will be by tomorrow around 4:30" Kayce nodded as they both said good bye and Monica left

Evelyn was enjoying her first day at her new school making all new friends and meeting her teachers. She was excited to see what else the school year held for her. She was also noticed that all the teachers mostly had to take a double take when they called her name and looked at her maybe it was because she looked like a mix of her parents. As the final bell rang Evelyn said goodbye to her friends as she headed towards her moms office, she smiled as she walked in " Hey momma, did you have a good day" Haley smiled at her daughter " Hi sweetie of course did? How was your first day tell me everything" Haley got up and sat in the chair in the front of her desk smiling at Evenly" It was great i made a lot of friends and the teachers had to take a double take sometimes when they took my attendance" Haley laughed and smiled" yeah i figured that much a lot of teachers here were shocked to see him when we got here this morning" Evenly laughed shaking her head at her mom before looking up as the door opened "dad!" Evelyn smiled as she got up and walked over to Kayce giving him a hug. Kayce smiled as he hugged her back "Hey baby girl how was your day?" Evenly smiled up at her dad "It was great!" She told him. Haley got up from her seat in front of her desk and walked over and got her bag and grabbed Evelyn's things "Sweetie you have fun with your dad tonight and he'll have you back before it's to late" Evelyn smiled and hugged her mom " I'll see you later mom bye " Evelyn smiled as she walked out Kayce nodded at haley" See you later Haley" He walked out following Evelyn

Kayce was excited to spend time with his daughter getting to know her, seeing that her and haley are a like in more ones then one. Kayce unlocked the car for them as they got in. " So how about we go get something to eat then go get some ice cream, before heading back to the ranch to hang out and catch up" Evelyn smiled at her dad" sounds like a plan" Kayce started the car and headed off towards the pizza place, getting there he parked as they both got out and walked in, Kayce looked at Evelyn " you want to grab a table while I order food for us" Evelyn smiled and nodded as she went over and sat at a table for them. Kayce sighed softly he figured maybe he could tell evelyn about tate first. After getting the food he walked over and sat at the table across for her " So Evelyn there is something i wanted to tell you about" Evelyn looked at her dad taking a slice of pizza " what's up dad" Evelyn looked at him taking a bite of her pizza, Kayce sighed a little "So you have a brother who is a year younger then you" Evelyn smiled" Really? I can't wait to meet him I've always wanted a sibling " kayce sighed in relief hopefully telling Tate will be easier. As the night continued they talked and caught up. As they headed back towards there house Evelyn finally asked the one question on her mind " when will you forgive mom about keeping me from you" Kayce sighed as she kept driving towards the house"I'm not sure evelyn it may take a little bit" Evelyn nodded looking out the window as they turned into the driveway " that's okay at least we can hang out til then" Kayce smiled as he parked the car, Evelyn smiled as she got out of the car and saw her mom sitting on the porch. Kayce got out after her and walked towards the front of the car to give her a hug "I'll see you soon kiddo" Evelyn hugged him back before heading inside

Haley smiled at evelyn as she walked in she looked over at Kayce " So Kayce, Evelyn's birthday is coming up and i was going to throw her a party in wasn't sure if i was going to do it here or maybe talk to your dad about having it at the ranch. Figured maybe you'd like to help plan it" Kayce nodded looking at Haley " yeah I'll talk to dad tomorrow about maybe having it at the ranch, I'm sure he'd love that. Gift wise what do you think i should get her" Haley smiled at him " Kayce there;s one thing that girl always wanted and it was to know her dad which she got that, but you can get her something from the heart or she does love to draw" Kayce smiled a little walking around the car towards the door" Sounds like a plan night Haley" Haley smiled walking towards the front door" Goodnight Kayce"
